W4IT is ROARING in here on 7285 kHz, but I can't hear the other
station he is working. Aparently he is outside our skip zone
in Alexandria, VA. - he is named Bob, KT4KS.

W4IT is in the Greer Amateur Radio Club, so I am guessing
he is in South Carolina. RS 59 plus into central Florida today!

Sure is great to hear some 40m AM.

I have the DX60 all ready to go here now. See you all on AM soon!

Jim,
This may be a long shot but try Moyer Electronics near here in Sunbury.
Here's their URL:
http://www.moyerelectronics.com/
They do a lot of catering to the local broadcast stations in the area.
They are pretty knowledgeable and can answer technical questions as opposed
to Shady O'Rack. Obviously they aren't open today but if you don't find what
you are looking for with their search engines, give them a call. I was able
to get a 20watt pot for my 1943 RCA rig from them.
Good Luck,

Ed,
You may have to call them if they don't have the particular search
engine you require. Roll over the product list on the left of their home
page and that will enable your to select what ever function you require. But
just because they don't show a search engine for it doesn't meant they don't
have it.

Re: [AMRadio] Drive Pot

2006-01-01 Thread Jim Wilhite

Hi Ed:

The pot hasn't burned. It has developed a rough spot and it is just a
matter of time before it opens. When that happens the screen voltage on the
driver tube goes very high.

The 25 watt one would not fit without drilling holes in the front panel.

[AMRadio] FS/Trade Heath HP13B

2006-01-01 Thread Mike Duke, K5XU
This is the mobile supply for the Heath HW and SB series rigs. Currently set
for an HW12, but can be configured to run several other models.

It was working when taken out of service by my late Elmer, K5ZFM, about 10
years ago.

Make cash or trade offer.

My possible wish list includes a Heath HR10 receiver, Hw22A or Hw32A.

I'll ship, or you may pick up at the Jackson, MS ham fest on February 3 and
4.

This one will need lots of TLC, or to be converted into a parts unit.

The Band Spread knob is missing.

Make offer.

folks:

Please keep Tony in your prayers. He had an accident yesterday on his
motorcycle and ended up in the hospital with a broken hip and collar
bone. He has had surgery and is recouperating at Oakbend hospital in
Rosenberg, TX.

Suzi says the motorcycle (Goldwing) is totalled, but Tony is OK.

On another note: Ronnie, W5SUM was in the ER Friday night with chest
pains. Turns out it was high blood sugar, and he will be taking
medication for that.

This is NOT a good start to the new year.
