Re: [AMRadio] dayton
That's Trotwood, Geoff. Isn't it strange with all the townships and small towns around there? I enjoyed myself last year. Just didn't have the money this year(no overtime since early January).I hope that there will be more good AM stuff on the air after the Hamvention. [AMRadio] dayton
I visited with W3SCC/Fran and the name of Paul/VJB came up, and Fran got all excited and showed me a picture of Paul, from just 10 mins before. missed ya by *> that <* much, Paul. Also, didn't get to see KA1KAQ, or WB3HUZ or a few others. I Am sad that K4KYV didn't make it, nor WA1HLR. Is there some secret meeting place you guys get to, when your at a fleamarket? I do know, Timtron is getting a -nice- reactor choke and plate transformer. RE: [AMRadio] Magnet Wire
Hi Mark, I'm sorry, I lost track of who I answered. I sent the coil off to Gary, WZ1M, to have it rewound. I was going to do it myself, but I know Gary will do a much better and reliable job. He did a transformer for me a while back and it is fantastic! Thanks for the offer and again I apologize for not getting back to you. On the relay covers the jury is still out. I decided to wait until I have it up and running before I invest in the needed covers. They will be a little tricky to make, but I'll sure give you a shout when the time comes. 73, Rick/K5IZ Rick - I never heard anything more from you on the relay covers. I can probably get you the wire you need. I have it available from 12 - 59 AWG. Either send me a sample, or measure it with a micrometer and let me know the dia. 73, Mark W1EOF __ AMRadio mailing list List Rules (must read!): http://w5ami.net/amradiofaq.html List Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/amradio Partner Website: http://www.amfone.net Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.html Post: mailto:AMRadio@mailman.qth.net To unsubscribe, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word unsubscribe in the message body.

It will take a little less than 200 feet of ?? gauge enamel wire. I have to measure it to be sure, but I think it's 20 gauge. I haven't done this type of winding in many years, so can someone suggest a particular brand or type of wire or can I just assume a quality enamel coated magnet wire will be fine?
