[AMRadio] Stanwyck information wanted

2007-08-14 Thread Bob Deuel
Hello Guys:
Do any of you have catalog information on inductors and related products
manufactured by the STANWYCK Winding Company of Newburgh, New York? I am
looking for information on their products manufactured during the early 1960's.
Thanks, Bob K2GLO

*Shrug* live and learn.

Woah.. Earth? Round?

Hmmm...

Processing

Would this have something to do with another group in PA that's getting
ready for 'Polar shift'?

(no, I ain't making this up... http://www.nepanewsletter.com/polar.html)

I Love telling that story... while there is scientific evidence to
support it, I just really 'get off' on saying
Shift Happens.

;-)

I first heard of it though, from John Mohn/W5MEU. John had lots of
stuff at his place, besides the 14 (at one time) R-390's, the 4 (or 5?)
BC-610's, a 100' long by 50' wide barn full of 'you-name-it', from 12AX7
sockets to 750TL's, and every transformer for everything inbetween.

He had a regulate B+ supply, for some -very- stiff voltage, using a pair
of 4-400's as the voltage regulators.

Miss that crusty ol' phart...

[AMRadio] Help ID Several Old Thordarson Transformers

2007-08-14 Thread David Hollander
I have several old Thordarson transformers. I can not find them in any
of my catalogs which go back to the mid 1930's.

The numbers are:

T-45733 I think this is an audio, driver or modulation transformer
T-46249 Filament transformer
T-44816 Plate Transformer

All three are in a housing with the flat top and bottom with terminals
are on the bottom. All three are gray.

This case style is not in my catalogs so maybe early 1930s or late 1920's

can anyone help me with specs on these three/

Bob, The mugs, shirts, clock, shorts, and the thong are all the brainchild of

other than being immortalized by this stuff. I was in a QSO with Bill last
