Re: [AMRadio] Re: Gas and mecury rectifiers
Don't think MV rectifiers are much different with regard to pressures, and heating time than your ordinary flourscent light. Its MV with phospor coating on the glass, and as I understand it, the ballast is simply an inductive current limiting device. __ Our Main Website: http://www.amfone.net AMRadio mailing list Searchable Archives: http://www.mail-archive.com/amradio@mailman.qth.net/ List Rules (must read!): http://w5ami.net/amradiofaq.html List Home: http://mailman.qth.net/mailman/listinfo/amradio Help: http://mailman.qth.net/mmfaq.html Post: mailto:AMRadio@mailman.qth.net To unsubscribe, send an email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with the word unsubscribe in the message body.

[AMRadio] EF Johnson Attenuator
Does anyone on the list have any idea how much an EF Johnson Attenuator box is worth. This is the device that is placed between the AM transmitter and the liner to drop the RF power from the transmitter to a value that a linear amp can use without overdriving the amp. Re: [AMRadio] ARRL 20/80
Some of the ARRL Division web sites and a number of the Section Areas have discussion areas and/or reflectors. I see no point to duplicate the efforts of the Divisions/Sections. If you have a ARRL corporate issue, complaint, something bugging you, etc., send it to one of the ARRL Officers. They're all listed here: http://www.remote.arrl.org/officers.html Posting publicly all complaints, comments, answers only services to tweak the agitators. There is a ham who makes a more robust version of the Johnson Attenuator for $60. plus shipping. The Johnson will dissipate 30 to 35 watts. So I would imagine $50. and up(Johnson collectors would pay up) for it.
