I'm not sure what "QST View" is, but if it can print, why not print the output
to a PDF file? I do that all the time. Then, run Acrobat's OCR on the file such
that the text is search-able. Acrobat's OCR isn't perfect if there are problems
in the quality of the scan, but it seems a reasonable first attempt.
The OCR also takes a fair bit of time, but with many of us doing small parts,
the job is essentially parallel-ized and it wouldn't take long. The only
drawback is that doing the OCR and printing to a PDF file requires a full
version of Acrobat.

return

them.
But,
hmmm,
I
now
have
apparatus
that
will
allow
me
to
scan
at
high
quality,
50
sheets
per
minute,
and
save
directly
as
a
pdf
file.
Maybe
I
should
make
a
sales
pitch.
