10 meter SSB portion was alive all day(10/28) with many signals. Lots and lots of DX and U. S. stations. 10 meter AM dead. It would be nice if everyone used GMT or UTC. I, for one, can't remember whether to add or subtract how many hours to get my local time. Thanks. 73, Ed Richards K6UUZ Simi Valley, Ca 93065 Home of the Air Force 1 pavilion On Fri, 31 Mar 2006 19:56:46 -0500 Mark K3MSB [EMAIL PROTECTED] writes: Hi All -- I hope to be on 10 AM Saturday around 2 PM EST to about 5 PM EST. Re: [AMRadio] 10M AM
Nope, it was enough to get it on 160/80/40 with no spurs to speak of. I do have a 10 meter mobile rig in the truck with a whip cut for 29.100 and the rig does AM/SSB but no CW, a shame really, I'll have to get into it and make that happen. If at home I would be using a desk top 4-1000A amplifier with an Apache (TX-1) to drive it on 10, these days anyway. Since most everything else is packed away. For Mark, I will go out at 12:00 today and listen, maybe we can hook up. Jim WB2FCN James M. Walkerwrote: Mark is your BTA-1M working yet, how is that going? Hah! Hello Mark, Do you need a 29 MHz crystal (FT243) for the DX60? I have them on 7250 kHz (X4) if you know anyone who needs one! 73 - Brian On 30 Mar 2006 at 20:32, Tom wrote: Hi Mark, I had to leave right after our non-contact to pick up my wife from work since her car is out of service at the moment. Hi Mark, You are barely making it here too. The name is Tom, K3TVC, in Northern York County...a New Cumberland PA postal address. I tried to hit you because I saw your email message. I am using a Realistic HTX-10 in the AM mode. I have a small amp and I tried it with and without the amp but I'm not making it. It would have been difficult to talk anyway because your signal was low and in the noise. 73, Tom K3TVC - Original Message - From: Mark K3MSB [EMAIL PROTECTED] To: List AMradio amradio@mailman.qth.net Sent: Thursday, March 30, 2006 4:12 PM Subject: [AMRadio] 10M AM I'll be monitoring 29.0 from about 4:15 PM to 5:15 PM this afternoon whilst wokring in the shack. [AMRadio] 10m AM anyone?
I'd like that amp, it would go well with the Sonar -23 I have. I don't think any mods were needed for 10M. Patrick From: Brian Carling [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [AMRadio] 10m AM anyone? I have a Sonar CB amp here that uses a pair of rugged 6JE6 sweep tubes, that would make an ideal candidate for 10m conversion since it is tunable and would probably go to 28 MHz as-is with no problem. Anyone interested in it for your 10m AM station?
Re: [AMRadio] 10m AM anyone?
How much for the BR-21? That is, I'm guessing the model of the Sonar amp. Mike, K5XU

Hey Mark: Heard several VE6's,7 land, and 5 land stations yesterday afternoon working into 4 and 2 land on 10 AM. Signals varied anywhere from S4 to S9+. I'm going to finish up here and go down and fire up the rig.
