[amsat-bb] SO-50 during 0215 UTC pass
I was doing a demo for the Santa Clarita Amateur Radio Club during the 0215 UTC pass. I know I made contact with K6YK in CM97 but then another station called, I want to say it was K0OU in EM28, however it was the end of the pass and there's just too much static on the recorder for play back. Does anyone else have a copy of the audio that they can send me? -- Bryan Herbert - KE6ZGP Newhall, CA. DM04RJ USA http://bryanherbert.com http://twitter.com/ke6zgp ___ Sent via AMSAT-BB@amsat.org. [amsat-bb] Re: ARISS Video
Three years ago internet video streaming capabilities were introduced on the ISS, http://www.nasa.gov/home/hqnews/2009/mar/HQ_09054_ISS_WEBCAM.html I have a recollection that internet video streaming has been used by the Astronauts to talk to High School Students but don't know where a recording would be. 73 Trevor M5AKA ___ Sent via AMSAT-BB@amsat.org. [amsat-bb] Re: ARISS Video
Keep in mind that those videos while involving students are not ARISS contacts. ARISS is audio only. NASA has a similar program they operate which runs thru the TDRS system which provides two way audio and video down. [amsat-bb] Teachers Institute July 24 at W1AW
Hi All, Thanks for your support of the teachers institutes in Sacramento and Dayton last week. Next week is my turn in Newington. For those wanting a contact with W1AW, I will be testing my portable set up for the TI on Sunday July 22 during the 1741Z pass of AO27 in the League parking lot with call W1AW. After the contact, if you would like a card, send me an e-mail to my address below and I'll take care of it. I'd appreciate it if you could give us some demonstration contacts on Tuesday July 24 during the 1824Z pass of AO27. The TI curriculum is packed full of activities, therefore I can only spare that time for the satellite demonstrations. [amsat-bb] Yaesu Rotator Repair Services in VK
Dear All, I have two units of stuck Yaesu rotators (G-5500 azimuth unit and G-2800) that I use for satellite and terrestrial communications and have been finding it difficult to locate repair services around this region. As I will be heading to Sydney, Australia next month, I wonder if there are such repair services available. If anyone has any info, kindly drop me an e-mail off the list. Sorry for the bandwidth and appreciate any help or pointers given. Thank you. 73, Sion Chow Q. C., 9M2CQC, WQ2C ___ Sent via AMSAT-BB@amsat.org. Opinions expressed are those of the author.
