[android-beginners] SDK 1.1_r1 javadoc issue is fixed.

2009-02-18 Thread Xavier Ducrohet
Hello everyone,

The 1.1 SDK we released last week includes a new design for the
documentation. Unfortunately, the new design changed the HTML in a way that
made Eclipse unable to parse the files.

We've fixed the issue and put up new SDK archives for download.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

I agree with Ivan, this is not an easy task!
Except there's some geeks did the coding and compiling for the
specific device you're using.

2009-02-18 Thread Ivan Soto
Not to sound rude but this is not an easy task. If your phone is known to be
able to run Android, just start looking maybe you will find a guide or even
the custom image for it.
If not then you should try to compile it by yourself. And this is not the
best list to ask about that. This is mostly for people building applications
with the SDK.

Good luck and share results :)

The command is passed directly through to the "logcat" command on the
device. It's trying to create a file called "~/androidlog" on the
device itself.

Try "./adb logcat > ~/androidlog" instead.

[android-beginners] Re: R class not created or updating in Eclipe

2009-02-18 Thread srajpal

I know whenever i had an error in an xml file or I used a capital
letter in the name of a file or drawable the R class would not auto
generate. the console gives some cryptic messages about that but all
in all one small error in anything inside res folder can cause the R
file to be created. I would look carefully into those files.

[android-beginners] Working of locationListener() in Android DEV Phone...

2009-02-18 Thread sheik

Hi,
i need to know about the LocationListener() working in the Android
DEV Phone(ADP1)

Does it expect the user(device) to move in order to update the
current location details or it automatically updates when ever the gps
is enabled?

Another query is regarding the getLastKnownLocation().

When is that last known location will be lost and thus returns null...
(ADP1)...

Thanks,
regards,
sheik

You should do more 'google'.

use http://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/
instead of https://dl-ssl.google.com/android/eclipse/
