According to google cardboard certification for input as below:

Input

   - Your viewer should contain exactly one input. If your viewer has 
   affordances for a direct screen touch, ensure that there is at most one 
   dedicated area for touching the screen.
   - Your viewer can use different types of inputs, from a simple 
   smartphone screen touch, conductive and capacitive inputs, to 
Bluetooth-based 
   buttons, and so on.
   - If you’re using a conductive input which passes user’s body charge 
   onto the smartphone screen, ensure that the input is not touching the 
   screen in a “non-pressed” state.

How  implement the bluetooth-based button?  Need BLE HID to send input 
event? What type event and keycode? Is there any document to descript it?

[android-developers] debug android app on chromebook

I have an android app that works on the chromebook flip when using arc 
welder to install and run it. However, when I download the current version 
from the play store, or sideload the current dev version by copying over 
the apk, the app doesn't run. I get the splash screen and then a white 
screen and nothing happens.

I tried using chrome on the chromebook and doing chrome://inspect/#devices 
and chrome://inspect/#apps but i don't see my running app in either place. 
(The app is mostly a webview wrapping a JS application, so this is 
typically how I debug it). I also tried using the android chrome browser 
and also do not see my app there. I am not sure where to find the 
application logs, although I did try looking at the various system logs. 
The chromebook is in developer mode so I can get a shell and look around, 
but I couldn't find an app log. adb devices does not show my app, and adb 
logcat doesn't show anything either.

Anyone know how to debug a webview app on the chromebook?

[android-developers] AnimationDrawable is not always animating when called to animate

The following method makes an AnimationDrawable object animate when it's 
first called.

AnimationDrawable animate = (AnimationDrawable) view.getDrawable();

When this is first called, the ImageView shows an animated drawable, as 
expected. But, further calls of the method will change the ImageView image 
to a static frame of the AnimationDrawable.

The expected result was that the new AnimationDrawable would animate, but 
it's just a static frame.

Somehow, sometimes when the method is called, the Animation starts and keep 
going, but other times it will just be static.

What can be done for the ImageView to start it's AnimationDrawable as 
expected?

I am facing the same problem with my RemoteViews in notification layout.  I 
cannot set multiple PendingIntents with different intent extras.  Is this 
still the case in 2016?  I am surprised they didn't fix it.

We've been testing in-app subscriptions for our app (using this method : 
https://developer.android.com/google/play/billing/billing_testing.html) and 
have noticed that the first purchase from a google account has autoRenewing 
set to true while successive cancel-and-repurchase subscriptions have 
autoRenewing set to false.

We request for the receipt using In App Billing Service calling 
mService.getPurchases(3, mContext.getPackageName(), ITEM_TYPE_SUBS, null);

Google Play Store still shows the subscription as Active.

Restarting the device does not help. Neither does clearing Play Store data 
+ cache.

Any idea why this is happening?

[android-developers] App in search result

Hi,
  We need help to understand what could be reason behind our app not coming 
in search results. Issue is happening only in Play store app on Android 
phone. 

  Steps:
 1. Open https://play.google.com/apps and search "SSC GK". Our app 
"OnlineTyari" is displayed in top results.
  2. Open play store app on mobile, search "SSC GK", our App is not 
displayed at all. Even if we use developer name with some keyword, app is 
not displayed at all.
 App have been live since 2 years, but it is first time such issue has 
happened. Our users are complaining about it and finding it difficult to 
discover our app on play store app.
  Any help or contact to escalate the issue will be appreciated.

[android-developers] New apk signature after app transfer

Hi,

When an app gets transfered to other account, the new owner can sign that 
apk with their keystore or should the use the previous owner keystore to 
keep on signing that apk?

If so, whats the point on that? If the app has a new owner why maintain the 
previous signature?
