Has anyone faced this "Geocoding returning null" issue when using 1.5
version?

The "final" SDK mentioned in that thread is the one currently
available for download.

[android-developers] Re: Has the final android 1.5 sdk released?

2009-05-21 Thread Android Users
Hey guys,
What is the final verdict then?

The reason i asked for the Final SDK release is because Geocoding
has a packaging bug and is to be fixed in the final sdk release.
http://groups.google.com/group/android-developers/browse_thread/thread/79f94e31e647db60#

I had developed an application which uses Geocoding.
It worked fine in android 1.0 (G1 device), but not working in G2 as the
Geocoding is returning a null array.

[android-developers] Re: Has the final android 1.5 sdk released?

2009-05-21 Thread EboMike

I should clarify my own answer: I didn't post the original question,
and I'm not looking for a "final" 1.5, I'm just interpreting what was
said.

I do have questions about 1.5 that I posted but never got answers for
(is it by design that SimpleDateFormat.parse() no longer throws an
exception? Is it by design that non-US locales do not have month names
when trying to format a date), but I don't know the underlying
question of the OP.

What are you looking for when you say "final"? 1.5 is already shipping on
devices, so for most purposes things are pretty set in stone.

He said FINAL sdk, and no, the FINAL 1.5 has not been released yet.
You will find several threads in this group that hint at issues that
are or are not fixed in the "final" 1.5 SDK.
