[android-developers] Re: This bug is costing us money every month
They didn't wake up 2 weeks ago and say "hey, I know, lets call the hero the g2!" That device (and that name, or a variant thereof) has been around since at least the release of the g1, if not earlier. The fact that everyone decided every android phone was the g-something is irrelevant. (Hey, I have android on an old kaiser - is it the g0?) They tried multiple names for the touch, but you'll note that none of them was anything like 'g2'... 2009/8/4 Cédric Berger > > On Tue, Aug 4, 2009 at 16:33, Disconnect wrote: > > ...so if I start calling the htc touch pro "mcdonalds" that makes it > > correct, and mcdonald's is the one causing confusion? > > > > Yeah, I don't think so.. just because you decide the magic/mytouch is the > g2 > > doesn't make it so. Plus, most users discover drastic power savings with the application. Many claim two to three days between charges. ...so if I start calling the htc touch pro "mcdonalds" that makes it correct, and mcdonald's is the one causing confusion? Yeah, I don't think so.. just because you decide the magic/mytouch is the g2 doesn't make it so. Especially when the actual g2 has been released. How can you know? He could have had another Android phone prior to the G2. @Op. You could as a workaround use an application like APNDroid, but the bug should be fixed.
