I have viewed the mode file and can say install="yes" is already set. I
think something related to Bilang code needs to be added in the mode file.

Also, from next time I shall be active in the IRC channel and ask short
questions there. :-)

[Apertium-stuff] English-Santali output is not working in beta.apertium.com website

2022-01-10 Thread Prasanta Hembram
Hi,

I was testing with Translation for a recently added eng-sat pair, it is
working well for English to Santali offline in my system and tested well in
Apertium Viewer. But it is not working in the online version of Apertium (
beta.apertium.com). When I try to give an input example: "House" or any
other word in the source language and set language to English and in the
target language when I set it to Santali. Then the output gives
"Translation not yet available!" . *Interestingly when I use "Translate a
Document " and upload a list of English sentences in a txt file and click
on translate with output in Santali then everything seems to be fine.* I'm
not able to find where the error lies.

Steps to reproduce:
1. Go to beta.apertium.org
2. Set source language to English and target language to Santali
3. Give any input in English like "House" and click on translate.
4. Instead of ᱚᱲᱟᱜ as an output the output gives "Translation not yet
available!" and hangs.

[Apertium-stuff] Request for the addition of New Santali Mono Dictionary and apertium-eng-sat pair

2022-01-06 Thread Prasanta Hembram
Hi,
I was recently working for an English-Santali pair and have added some 1000
entries and updated some rules which will make it work for at least for
nouns (mostly added names of people) and added some other words and
parafdef which shows some plural forms. Is there any rule or threshold to
add these language pairs or we can add at half completion also??. If not
then I'm excited for this pair and one monodix to be passed to Apertium.

[Apertium-stuff] TM not working for English-Santali pair

2022-01-02 Thread Prasanta Hembram
Hi, I was testing with eng-sat.tmx (
https://github.com/Prasanta-Hembram/apertium-eng-sat/blob/master/eng-sat.tmx)
a small one though but it is not working for some reason. I have followed
https://wiki.apertium.org/wiki/Translation_memory tutorial by replacing all
the language code and tried to run as follows:

My Input:

*echo Welcome to Wikipedia. Hello|apertium eng-sat -m eng-sat.tmx*

I got the output:

*Error: Cannot compile TM 'eng-sat.tmx'/usr/bin/apertium: line 507: echo
hint: use -o parameter: command not found*

After that is have followed this solution but also no luck
https://sourceforge.net/p/apertium/mailman/apertium-stuff/thread/56F27D25.7050307%40phone-m.com/#msg34959606
according to them :

by giving input as : *echo Welcome to Wikipedia. Hello|apertium eng-sat -m
eng-sat.tmx -o eng-sat *would solve the problem but instead it gave output:

*Error: Mode eng-sat does not exist. Try one of: eng-spa spa-eng
spa-eng_US*

How to make my eng-sat TMX file work with Apertium ?

Re: [Apertium-stuff] English-Santali Plural form not working

2021-12-29 Thread Prasanta Hembram
STATUS=PROBLEM SOLVED ✅✅✅

Hi, it would be silly but I will share my solved problem I'm currently
learning and experimenting with Apertium, atleset it should be marked as
solved . English-Santali Plural form was not working for me because i
have given wrong input:
Instead of
*echo "cows" | apertium -d . eng-sat-transfer *
If we give* echo "cows" | apertium -d . eng-sat *in my current
English-Santali git (https://github.com/Prasanta-Hembram/apertium-eng-sat)
cutting the last transfer then in the output we will get ᱰᱟᱹᱝᱜᱽᱨᱤᱠᱚ which
is the plural form of ᱰᱟᱹᱝᱜᱽᱨᱤ

Re: [Apertium-stuff] English-Santali Plural form not working

2021-12-20 Thread Prasanta Hembram
Thanks for the clarification sir, but I tried changing my rules and paradef
but no luck, no forms including paradef are working for bilingual
English-Santali Dictionary. Only working in a monolingual Dictionary. It is
detected as Plural for Bilingual Dictionary, but with that nouns should be
inflicted as ᱰᱟᱹᱝᱜᱽᱨᱤ ᱠᱚ for Cows. I'm not able to find where the problem
lies. But for the monolingual Santali Dictionary it is working fine. After
deleting the dual form there is no luck. I'm following this book and trying
to make rules :-). Luckily I got this from the Internet.

[Apertium-stuff] English-Santali Plural form not working

2021-12-19 Thread Prasanta Hembram
Hi, I'm working on a new language pair English -Santali pair and trying to
learn everyday how can i improve this pair. Today I had a few doubts.

Doubt 1: Plural rules are not working when translating from English to
Santali, The English plural form "Cows" returns output " ᱰᱟᱹᱝᱜᱽᱨᱤ " instead
of "ᱰᱟᱹᱝᱜᱽᱨᱤ ᱠᱤᱱ/ ᱰᱟᱹᱝᱜᱽᱨᱤ ᱠᱚ" . I have set up paradef but no luck. How to
get the correct output??

The correct forms are as follows
Cow = ᱰᱟᱹᱝᱜᱽᱨᱤ
Cows = ᱰᱟᱹᱝᱜᱽᱨᱤ ᱠᱤᱱ or Two Cows = ᱰᱟᱹᱝᱜᱽᱨᱤ ᱠᱤᱱ
Cows = ᱰᱟᱹᱝᱜᱽᱨᱤ ᱠᱚ

My Santali Monolingual Dictionary link:
https://github.com/Prasanta-Hembram/apertium-sat

English-Santali Bilingual Dictionary link :
https://github.com/Prasanta-Hembram/apertium-eng-sat

echo "cows" | apertium -d . eng-sat-transfer

returns wrong output: ^ᱰᱟᱹᱝᱜᱽᱨᱤ$^sent{^᱾$}$

   ᱠᱤᱱ
   ᱠᱚ
