Thanks for that interesting info, Aravind. These days I am very jealous over all copycat hindi composers. They are getting fame for copying. If u surf tv channels you'll see Dhoom, Dus, Kaal, Murder songs being played repeatedly. They are just remixes of copied international tunes. Where as our boss's original work in Swades,Bose, Meenaxi was ignored. (Even for Film awards). I wish ARR should return to mainstream Commercial cinema and bringback the vintage era. You are right. Shankar Mahadevan was really amaizing. He took a lot of weight of the show on his shoulders and ghanan ghanan was simply out of the world. I feel very lucky to have watched it in melb. Hi Arun, Officially, you are not allowed to take in any form of cameras (still or video) or recording devices to the concerts. But in reality, no one checked, which surprised me. I only took a still camera to capture some photos because I feared they might check but no one did! I dont see why it would be a problem to take an audio recorder or still camera because the recording quality will be average anyway so it's not like we can pirate it or make any money out of it - it's purely to capture the moment for ourselves! ps: Shankar Mahadevan will NOT be at the Sydney concert unfortunately . Unni Menon will be attending instead of him. I feel really lucky to have witnessed Shankar in Melbourne, he is a "power house" as ARR introduced him on stage ! Hi, why are you writing these reviews to Ah Aah ? First when Ah Aah Audio released many people said that the audio is not good, it's the same, nothing special. Now when the movie released many people are saying that the songs are great but the picturisation are bad. When Godfather movie releases many people will say that the song picturisation in Ah Aah was great and in Godfather it's bad. Come on. Why don't you accept it like it is ? The Songs were great. I have reasons to believe otherwise .. All the news that AVM and Rajni are forcing Shanker to get back with ARR seems wrong .. Shanker and ARR are still in good terms .. If not what was he doing in Melbourne during ARR show. Nobody would travel that far to be with a person whom you dislike. ARR announced to the people during the show that Shanker was present ..shows how close they are. Shankar is one who loves good technological advances and he would have wanted to see the 3D show in person once ARR told him about it. Lots of people are spreading bad news.. Lets not trust all that and hope we will see Rajni-Shankar-AVM-ARR(-Vairamuthu) combination in Sivaji .. Is it Rehman or Vidyasagar? IndiaGlitz [Monday, September 12, 2005] A Rajni film keeps everyone abuzz and agog. His forthcoming Sivaji sure has the rumor mills. Initially it was suggested that A R Rehman had been zeroed in on as the music director for the prestigious film to be produced by AVM Saravanan and directed by the hot shot Shankar. But now a different tune is being played out. Vidyasagar, who came up with hit numbers in Chandramukhi, also seems to be in contention for the job. When asked, Vidyasagar said,'I don't have any expectations. I just do my work. When I am entrusted a job, I would do it sincerely. I never felt that my work in Gilli and Chandramukhi would win so much accolades. I never expected Chandramukhi to happen. If Sivaji comes my way, I would do justice to my selection'.
