hi friends... let me introduce myself..coz i'm a new one here...welli'm ram.an engg student..n i'm really crazy abt gr8 gr8 gr8 rahmanji.i luv singing n i'm studyin carnatic music 4 the past 7 yrs. i read Archana's mail i i agree with her in the case of flop films in which rahman have given music. one of the best eg is the film Kankalal kaitha sei. this film was utter flop over here in kerala.n most of my friendz havent even heard a single song frm it. actually that film contains some of the best songs of rahman. the song with Harini's sweet voice. Theekkuruviyil is really gem of a song..which is in fact a very TOUGH one to sing. Ennuyir thozhitae is another beauty sung by Unnimenon...n similarly every song is really gr8. we'll hope that the film in which rahman involves become gr8est hits. Hi, I was jus working and listening 2 the music of Bose(maybe its my 200th time),I was completely overwhelmed by the depth of the music.It was as if sitting in the theatre and seeing the movie itself..!! I unable 2 convey my feelings about this album.A masterpiece in the true sense of the word.I can't imagine the album without the bgm's. If the bgm's were not included whether we would hav got an opportunity 2 listen 2 such fantastic,marvellous,superb,timeless,..(as for as my vocabulary permits). musical pieces again in our life time with such sound quality.I doubt it guys though am sure some of u might upload some of these thankfully.20 years from now i can't imagine listening 2 any album other than Rahman's n especially BOSE. Guys listen to them againOrchestral versions of Desh Ki Mitti,EklaChalo Re just melts my heartnot 2 mention Emili theme I even recommend some of these for relaxation n 2 rejuvenate urself. personally i don believe in tat news, coz last time they (Ajithfans.com) told us that the movie was postponed coz of producer, actually the movie was postponed coz ajith is start to prepare for his next movie, Naan Kadavulwith Bala whn da producer out of money. The buzz is that UTV has tentatively confirmed Dec 16 as release date of the Rs.300 million film, reports Bollywood Trade. "It is true that Dec 16 is one of the release dates being considered for the film, but we are yet to get a confirmation on this," said Sanjeev Mehta, vice-president (distribution) of UTV Pictures. Aamir had stated in an interview that he would now have a release every eight months with "Rang De Basanti" followed by Yash Raj Enterprises' "Fanaah" directed by Kunal Kohli, which is scheduled to begin shooting in October and will be released next year. The "Rang De Basanti" cast includes Soha Ali Khan, Alice Payton, Sharman Joshi, Madhavan, Atul Kulkarni, Om Puri and Waheeda Rehman. Aamir sports a clean-shaven look in the film, completely different from the handlebar moustache and cascading tresses that defined his personality in "Mangal Pandey". Designers reportedly experimented for nine months before they arrived at the longish haircut and clean-cut new look for Aamir. Hi everbody, I feel that so far only THE HINDU has given the perfect review for Ah Aah. The Deccan Herald review was not worth reading at all. It purely shows the writers personal feelings about suryah. And i feel that all the songs have been picturised quite nice. The Mailiragey song has been picturised in a very creative way. You guys watch that song again and you will know how creatively it has been picturised. Also the Varugirai song is really really vreatively picturised. The only let down is the Thazhuvudu song. Hi, Actually he could have done better in doing all the songs.He was not up to his std.After i watched the whole film i asked to myself 'did this fela direct vaali?'.Actuallya songshould have been reserved for sivaji:it isthe opening song'anbe aaruyire'.The lyrics suit rajinikanth 1000 time better than s.j.Surya.Moreover,shanker would have done a much grander presentation of the song.Wat do u think? Vikatan has given 41/100 for Ah Aah, fairly high marks, considering the magazine's self-imposed standard of review. The magazine refused to review Boys, giving only 25/100. Vikatan's involvement in selecting the title could also have influenced the review. I haven't seen the movie yet, but those I spoke to didn't find the picturization bad.. IMHO, if the Ah Aah title song had been reserved for Rajini, 1) we would have been deprived of this song for another 8-12 months 2) we will not have the pleasure of hearing another great song that is currently being composed for Rajini's Sivaji. The concert was part of a two-day South Asian Peoples Summit Against Poverty (PSAP) on September 3-4 'Pray for me brother. Do you need a reason to be kind', sang Bollywood music star A.R. Rahman as he lent his support to the People's Concert against poverty, held on Saturday evening. Rahman was joined by singer Kailash Kher, Indian Ocean and Envision in the special concert against poverty organised by GCAP, in collaboration with People's Summit against Poverty. The anthem 'Pray for..' is based on the theme of eradicating poverty and is very close to my heart, said Rahman, who performed his new anti-poverty song for the first time. There is a need to remind people from time to time that we should make our lives meaningful by extending support to such noble causes. I feel great to be associated with such causes, said Kher Kailash who sang his hit from the Bollywood film, 'Mangal Pandey'. And Indian Ocean stole the show with their songs Are ruk ja re bande.. and Kasi Hile Patna hile.. Throughout the concert speakers representing diverse groups, both from the Indian campaign and from GCAP globally, took to the stage. Amitabh Behar and Shefali, spoke on the Indian campaign and the reality of poverty in India. While Minar Pimple, GCAP Co-chair, gave an overview of GCAP globally. At the end of the show John Samuel, ActionAids international director for Asia, tied a White Band to Rahmans wrist and both called for an end to poverty. The concert was timed to boost the GCAP campaign, ahead of globally planned actions next week just prior to the UN World Summit. The aim of the concert was to generate support among the masses. Such events will raise awareness amongst people and draw the attention of the government to poverty, said Indu Prakash Singh, National Campaign Co-ordinator for Action Aid. Like the Live8 concerts in July, the aim of the event was not to raise funds, but to create awareness about widespread poverty in India and across the world, Singh said. Meanwhile, Rahman, invited media to a press conference in a Delhi slum where reporters were surrounded by people who live on a daily basis with extreme poverty and suffering. To echo the words of Rahman, the concert certainly helped to add Indian voices to the widespread international call to end poverty. The Peoples Summit Against Poverty The concert was held as part of the South Asian Peoples Summit Against Poverty from 3rd 4th of September, in Delhi. Launched by former prime minister V.P. Singh, well over 10,000 people attended, eager to discuss Indias progress on the Millennium Development Goals, ahead of next weeks UN Summit. Other speakers included, A.B Bardhan, Secretary of the Communist Party of India and Dr. Sayeeda Hameed, a member of the Indian government Planning Commission the department responsible for the implementation of the MDGs in India. The Summit also marked the release of the Indian Citizens Report on MDGs, which evaluated the Indian Governments progress on the MDGs and the national expression of these in the National Development Goals. On the 3rd a massive rally was held with over 12,000 people marching throughout the streets of Delhi. We neglect our cities at our peril. For, in neglecting them, we neglect the nation. -John F.
