hi frnds our request is whoever adds any photos or any format files or any information or any links or news articles in our arrfans-yahoo groups, plse do let us know thro a mail with details like file name, file format in case of music files, which section and word/text-articles files, news articles, links-name and album name, photo name for photos section. then we will be able to check the same as we are interested to do. otherwise we wud not know which files are new files, particularly in files section & photos section. becoz it has huge collections, it is not possible to check fully every time to know and see newly added things. And there is no option to automatically know that certain files are new and latest etc. hope
hereafter whoever adds anything, plse post us a mail for the same as otherwise ur contributions may go unnoticed timely. thanks Pankaj

CONGRATULATIONS TO NARESH IYER FOR HIS FIRST AWARD,
WHICH HE SAYS IT IS ALL BECAUSE OF ARR WHO GAVE HIM A
BREAK.  HE IS REALLY A DOWN TO EARTH PERSON, AND A
VERY GOOD PERSON.  

I HAPPENED TO MEET HIM IN A SHOW IN MUMBAI, HE STARTED
THE SHOW WITH FIRST THANKS TO ARR AND SAID BECAUSE OF
THE GENIUS HE IS TODAY IN FRONT OF US. 

HE SANG DIL SE, AND FIVE SONGS FROM RDB, CHAIYA
CHAIYA, AND MANY OTHER SONGS.

THERE WERE MORE THAN 1500 STUDENTS IN THAT COLLEGE
WHICH WAS A COLLEGE FESTIVAL, STUDENTS WERE WAITING TO
HERE HIS MAIN SONGS LOOSE CONTROL AND RUBAROO FOLLOWED
BY TU BIN .  IT WAS MINDBLOWING.

HE ENDED THE SHOW AGAIN THANKING ARR AND SEEKING HIS
BLESSINGS.

I am not sure would this be practical...i saw the netru indru nalai 
live concert by Illayaraja.Saw Sivamani on drums and many others like 
sekar in celo...do u think if rahman had played maybe a guest 
keyboardist ...would that would have brought memories and good reviews?

[arr] IMO - Meenaxi is Rahman's best ever.

Yes, I love Rahman obviously.  But I don't think RDB's music was that good 
compared to some of Rahman's other great soundtracks.  I personally think 
Meenaxi is ARGUABLY his best soundtrack ever.  And unfortunately, that along 
with Bose, were gone sadly unnoticed.

I think yoiu are reading into the review so much.  I personally really like 
the music of Aryan.  No, I wouldn't compare the song Rab Ne Mere or the 
vocals of Teri Te Mein to Rahman.  BUT, i do understand why he said the 
music of Rab ne Mere reminds him of Rahman.  Probably because of the  hyper 
play of the strings throughout the backdrop of the melody.  But no, it's not 
reminiscent of Rahman.  But, don't take offense...i wouldn't blame the 
reviewer at all.

Very disappointing. ARR/Bharathiraaja combo had some great albums http://www.hindu.com/mp/2006/03/30/stories/2006033001360500.htm Many noted south Indian filmmakers have tried their best to get Nana Patekar to act in a regional film. But all of them have failed as Nana makes it clear that he is not interested in getting beaten up by the southern superstars! It seemed that Bharathiraaja had achieved the impossible by convincing the actor to do a film for him. Though Nana was impressed with Bharathiraaja's script, he still asked the veteran director to do the film in Hindi. Last Sunday, at Bollywood's most happening place, J. W. Marriott in Mumbai, the film aptly titled "Bharathiraaja's Cinema" was launched with a lot of fanfare in the presence of Vikram, Boney Kapoor, Sridevi, director David Dhawan, Padmini Kolhapure and
Poonam Dhillon. Says P. G. Shreekkanth, co-producer of the film: "It was a gala function and the first schedule has started in Mumbai. We will be shooting in Goa and London later. Nana Patekar plays a film director and it is a love story woven around a murder mystery." Two new girls Farana and Roopali along with Niyemat Khan are in the cast. The music is by Bollywood's current favourite Himesh Reshamaya.

After reading the article, I couldn't help but to listen to the songs, I was wondering if Anand Raj Anand has actually been able to the cult of status of our Boss. First I heard Rab ne, which the writer has said has a Rahmanish effect. People, you won't believe, the song is not a trash but doesn't even reach anywhere near what our Boss creates. The song sounds more like a Sandeep Chowta's work and the statement in the article first saying it sounds like Rahman and then "is indistinguishable", I feel is the most ridiculous statement ever written by a music reviewer.

Next I listened to the song Teri te mein, again a typical Sandeep Chowta style, very undertone, it can be on charts for sometime (on the basis that audiences like Himmesh Reshammiya) but what irritated me is the writer mentioning, it reminded him/her of Rahman's vocals in RDB. Again a baseless and preposterous statement. The song infact I felt is on the same lines as of the song DUS composed by Sandeep Chowta. How can he/she compare Rahman's vocals in Luka Chuppi or Khalbali or Roobaroo to a song which doesn't even sound great to listen repeatedly?
What I felt was the writer has been paid undertable to write such a pompous review and specially to mention ARR name.
I do not know if I am talking or thinking aloud but being a Rahman fan, I couldn't accept the lines on face value. I would like to know what you people think.

WHY IS THIS EVEN AN ISSUE? Trinity is a school of music in INDIA, 
started perhaps by the British, with a uniform standard all over 
India.. A R R did level 7 and the day before he was to appear for 
level 8, he got called by IR. This was in the early 80s. Look at the 
Stanford video. He was ONE of IR's keyboardists for a while (VIJY 
MANUEL was the primary one, although he himself thinks he is one of 
many). G. V Prakash (AR's nephew, son of his sister Reyhana, and 
programmer) has done all ten levels and so has Yuvan Shankar or 
Karthik I think. I don't know if ARR had ever been to London before 
Roja, but certainly his bands did rounds all over India.
There are many people on this group who know about trinity. Please 
do not speculate and/or add non-verified info to his biography. 
YES THERE IS ALSO A TRINITY COLLEGE IN LONDON.

Thanks gops for the artics.
 Just as my observation over the years, whenever ARRahman composes 6 or 
more songs for a sound track, or when a sound track includes a theme 
music of BGM, its a mega hit.
 Examples include Roja, Bombay, Rangeela, Taal, Dil Se, Lagaan, Range 
de Basanti and so on.
 And the prospect of a Rock album from the man is really exciting. 
Can't wait for that one.

This guy is good at creating latest-genre music that has a very strong 
gravity pulling power which pulls you like crazy! But one thing that really 
disappoints me is, from sources i've heard and seen - this guy really doing 
Deva's work in terms of originality.

A genius' son but lack of creativity ? Prefer HJ than this guy. ;-)

Hi, I do not how many here have read the reviews on rediff.com on the music of Aryan, composed by Anand Raj Anand. (For those who havenÂt read it, follow the link.. http://in.rediff.com/movies/2006/mar/29aryan.htm. The reviewer Komal Mehta in his/her comments on the song Rab ne from Aryan says that the song sounds similar to a A R Rahman song and in the next line goes on say that: ÂThe lyrics are nice and the music is soothing but it is indistinguishable from the various other love songs that come out every week.Â IsnÂt it the biggest insult to a man who has changed the equations of the Indian music industry? Two paragraphs later, the writer reviews another song Teri te mein. Apparently the song has been sung by Anand Raj Anand himself. Now the writer he or she, whoever it is, goes on to praise the song and in the end mentions that the song reminded her of RahmanÂs vocals in RDB. Note that the writer has mentioned ÂvocalsÂ. After reading the article, I couldnÂt help but to listen to the songs, I was wondering if Anand Raj Anand has actually been able to the cult of status of our Boss. First I heard Rab ne, which the writer has said has a Rahmanish effect. People, you wonÂt believe, the song is not a trash but doesnÂt even reach anywhere near what our Boss creates. The song sounds more like a Sandeep ChowtaÂs work and the statement in the
article first saying it sounds like Rahman and then Âis indistinguishableÂ, I feel is the most ridiculous statement ever written by a music reviewer. Next I listened to the song Teri te mein, again a typical Sandeep Chowta style, very undertone, it can be on charts for sometime (on the basis that audiences like Himmesh Reshammiya) but what irritated me is the writer mentioning, it reminded him/her of RahmanÂs vocals in RDB. Again a baseless and preposterous statement. The song infact I felt is on the same lines as of the song DUS composed by Sandeep Chowta. How can he/she compare RahmanÂs vocals in Luka Chuppi or Khalbali or Roobaroo to a song which doesnÂt even sound great to listen repeatedly? What I felt was the writer has been paid undertable to write such a pompous review and specially to mention ARR name. I do not know if I am talking or thinking aloud but being a Rahman fan, I couldnÂt accept the lines on face value. I would like to know what you people think. Dear Wasim Bhai,  Assalamu alaikkum,     Read your message. I do understand your difficulty in not undertstanding the fabulous Tamil language. You are aware that our boss Mr. ARR was also facing the same problems when he entered the bollywood during the time of Rangeela. Now our boss is so perfect in Urdu and Hindi and it is quite evident from his latest blocbuster RDB titled Lukka Chuppi and Khalbali. Similarly, since you are a ardent fan of ARR, you should try to learn and understand Tamil atleast the lyrics of Tamil films composed by our legend ARR.  Then you will definately understand the real flavour of Tamil language.     Still you have any doubts regarding tamil lyrics you can call me or email to my address, I will certainly help you.     Aap mujhe kise bhi waqt Rahman saheb ke naghmoon ki tamil lyrics ke bare me pooch sakte hain.
