music.. :-)

[arr] Concerts and Compositions

[Caran]

What do you think about ARR giving too many concerts in the recent 
past(the number has increased substantially in the current decade)?
Is it restricting his creativity in any sense? The fact remains that 
a lot of time is channelised for concerts in the form of rehearsals(a 
coupla months or more for a concert). Apart from the obvious 
advantages of performing live (monetary and reaching more people), 
would it be better if he dedicates more time composing music than 
merely recreating his own scores on stage?

[Sribalaji]

Hi Guys,

I can't wait for a long time to get the response from our fellow
rahmaniacs. Some people will check mail daily or some people will
check mail occasionally. I think many of the Chennai fans might have
not read the mail. That's why it is getting late for the response i
suppose.

So I have taken an intiative. I already started preparing the song
list for the concert titled "Isai Puyalin Isai Payanam". I called up
my friends who are instrumentalists, to perform and they said O.K. I
also asked them to join our group, so that those people will become
rahmaniacs.

We are preparing with the song list of A.R.R's(including albums)
compositions since 1992. We will start practising the songs once the
song list gets finalized. We are planning to perform each and every
song live with the recording effect. We will try our best.

We are always opened and welcome the fellow vocalists and
instrumentalists of our group. They can directly join with us once the
practice gets started.

I request our group members to come forward and encourage our guys.
Above all, we pray God to make this endeavour a great success!!!

  Vijay on ATM update to Vikatan weekly. He speaks after completing a song 
shooting in switzerland. Says, if you listen to this song in mid-night stars 
will come to stand by your side. Lyrics start as, "Kaettu rasittha pAdal 
Ondrai, Meendum indru gnabagam thooNda, KaelAmal kaiyilae vanthAyae kAthalae.." 
he says.. about the song, "Simply superb". Rahman plays in this song (near 
translation) or [Rahman shows his skills effortlessly]. Vijay is happy about 
song rushes. Says another kutthu song with Shreya comes perfect. Lyrics.., 
"Valayapatti Thavilae Thavilae, Jugalbandhi vaikkum mavaLae mavaLae, Jimikki 
pOtta mayilae..." & says he did a bad dance with shreya in binny mills & like 
other vijay's kutthu songs this song sure to rock this diwali.

The other day i read 1 of the email from our group member...saying that 
ballelakha song might not be included in hindi sivaji because its not suitable 
for hindi audience...for your info, rahman is an international musician...if he 
compose a song for a movie, I believe he'll make sure the song can be listened 
by people from all over the worldnormally a song is chosen based on the 
flow of the movieif sivaji is remaked in hindiand if the storyline is 
still the same, then i doesn't see a reason why the ballelakha song should be 
removed or replaced..unless they change the storylinefurthermore..in the 
making of sivaji which aired on sun tv recently, rahman himself said the music 
of the song ballelakha contains elements of bangraand so far i never seen 
any movies which dubbed or remaked from hindi to tamilor tamil to 
hindi...with which had been removed any of the songs...the original songs are 
remained...only the language is changedeven if observed in
 detail.the meaning of the song lyrics will be still the same most of the 
time...we can take example from the earlier combinations of our boss and 
shankar...in mudhalvan(nayak in hindi) and boys...original songs are 
remainedmy point here isballelakha song should and will be included in 
hindi sivaji
