I got the Sivaji/Hits of Shankar CD from Ayngaran, which sounds good
to me.  Maybe the Chandramukhi songs were not mastered as well as the
Sivaji songs.

Probably some might have written this earlier out here and probably I 
am not the only person wishing for this ...

What I really wish is that someone comes up with a purely 'classical' 
based movie theme and Rahman composes music for that.

In short ...I wish the magic of "Sangamam" can be repeated once more ...
Though I am perfectly happy with whatever Rahman composesI can't 
but help wish 

p.s. - "Water" was close ..but probably I am missing that "carnatic 
classical" bit. Note - that this mail was purely triggered thanks to my 
iPod playing two sangamam songs back to back even though its in the 
Shuffle mode  :-)

One thing u all should notice is that the way rahman gives the intro 
song we have 4 instances...
1.Oruvan Oruvan: sema meanin and melody
2.Ahh - I feel it had an MJR feel to it amazing.
3.Shivaji- Except the tune he went with the current trend still was 
fast and catchy.
4.ATM- Vijay an mass enter ll need an mass song but see wat rahman has 
done changed his intro seq completely thats wat happens when u 
experiment, this song is no masala total classy intro mass song other 
peers should learn this from rahman as to how to give an class intro 
song with full of energy. And rahman is apt for all intro i feel if an 
good song comes across from an other MD rahman should accept singing an 
intro .

Hey thanks for it :) Website is more alive. As usual love Arr's voice :) in 
Yella pughazhum song. Unbelievable on Naresh Iyer's voice in Valayapatti for 
some modulation. Kelaamal Kayile song reminds very much of two old songs. 
Aagaya Vennilaave Tharai Meethu song (Arangetra Velai - 1990 - MD - Ilayaraja) 
& Ini Naanum Nanalla song (Hey Nee Romba Azhaga irukka - 2002 - MD - Srinivas 
for that one song). Probably Arr too likes those old hits. Glad to see many new 
singers. Hope songs will do a lot than arr-vijay combo, udhaya.

A genuine query from a fan about Rahman's health and his short but 
perfect reply "...I am touched..." and look what it has done to the 
fans on the group !

I may be asking too much but, from time to time, can he ( may be he 
is already online, who knows...) put in his thoughts to various 
issues or can take ONE question per week or month from the fans ? 

Similar thing happened to our RAHMANIA group in Pune. We had 
performed 3 concerts in February 2007 and in between we received a 
similar SHORT and SUPERBLY worded blessings from RAHMAN by email. The 
next day programme happened to be THE BEST we had performed so far. 
All due to a small encouragement from Rahman.

"... I am touched."  
No no no no We are touched by Rahman's music and are blessed to 
read his words.

ever made.

Prasoon did the lyrics... and was also the creative director. I heard from
someone that he even sang for it... one of the voices in the ad is his. :)

We are getting reports that this time around Vijay may have to be
content with watching films of other stars with his Azhagiya Tamil
Magan most likely to give it a miss this Deepavali. The movie's
post-production and some visual effects works are still underway, and

A genuine query from a fan about Rahman's health and his short but 
perfect reply "...I am touched..." and look what it has done to the 
fans on the group !

I may be asking too much but, from time to time, can he ( may be he 
is already online, who knows...) put in his thoughts to various 
issues or can take ONE question per week or month from the fans ? 

Similar thing happened to our RAHMANIA group in Pune. We had 
performed 3 concerts in February 2007 and in between we received a 
similar SHORT and SUPERBLY worded blessings from RAHMAN by email. The 
next day programme happened to be THE BEST we had performed so far. 
All due to a small encouragement from Rahman.

"... I am touched."  
No no no no We are touched by Rahman's music and are blessed to 
read his words.

just thought id share with you guys the ad for the movie elizabeth the 
golden age. the rsolution for where Rahmans name is written isnt that 
great, but you could still make it out. i waited for days for this ad o 
come out as i live in california and not much news about rahman gets 
published here. oh but last year there was a huge article about rahman 
when he came to stanford in the local newspaper, maybe ill post that 
later.
