[arr] Komaram Puli to release in August

  *Pawan Kalyan to resume shooting*  *By Moviebuzz*  | Tuesday, 21 April ,

Power star Pawan Kalyan who is busy campaigning for the second phase of
elections for his brother Mega star Chiranjeevi is going to resume shooting
of his movie *Komaram Puli* once the elections were over most probably by
the end of this month.

*Komaram Puli* is directed by S J Suryah of *Khushi* fame. A London based
model Nikisha is the lead actress in this movie.

The shooting will go in full-swing till July. The producer Singanamala
Ramesh now plans to release the film in August.

The Oscar winning music director A R Rehman is the music director of this
film.Pawan Kalyan has signed up for yet another movie with Puri Jagannadh
which is also to commence very soon.

He has done several songs of that genre. You can provide some more

t is no news now that Kamal Haasan will be doing a cameo in a film on martial 
arts. The Ghajini-star Asin will team up with her ‘Dasavatharam’ hero again for 
this film. Asin plays a princess in the film while Kamal plays her guru in 
martial arts for the movie. Asin is paired with Japanese superstar Tadanobu 
Asanno for this flick, which is directed by Bharat Bala.
Mention Bharat Bala, and can AR Rahman be far behind? Schoolmates and dear 
friends, Rahman’s most popular independent album, Vande Mataram, was directed 
by Bharat Bala, as was Jana Gana Mana, which featured India’s leading musicians 
sing or play the national anthem.
AR Rahman will be composing music for ‘19th Step’ as well, and has teamed up 
with Japanese musician Joe Hisaishi, making the film an interesting musical 
collaborative venture. The music genius had, in fact, paid an exclusive trip to 
Japan about two weeks ago, to learn about their music style for this film. 
Academy Award winning Resul Pookutty will also join hands with Rahman for this 
ambitious project that will be produced by Walt Disney.

THRISSUR: Even while doing his diploma in Fine Arts, Sunil Kandallur
had no plans to become an ordinary artist struggling to make a living
out of painting as many do. He wanted to do some thing special and
innovative and so after completing the diploma, he concentrated in
learning the art of making statues out of wax. 

Talking to Express, the 38-year-old artist hailing from Kayamkulam said that as 
a student wax artist he had nothing to bank on. 

He
said although the scanty published literature had been of help, he
depended mainly on trial and error method in mastering the art. He said
that it took nearly five years’ hard work before he was able to make
near-perfect wax statues.

Sunil said that in the past five
years, he had made nearly 50 statues of various distinguished
personalities, including Mahatma Gandhi, Nehru, Indira Gandhi,
Mohanlal, Mammutty, Hitler, Sri Sri Ravi Sankar, Mata Amrithananda Mayi
and Sirdi Sai Baba. The latest statue Sunil made is of A R Rahman. 

Sunil
does not sell his creations. He meets the expenses by charging entry
fee to the wax exhibition organised by him all over the country. At the
Pooram Exhibition grounds here, he had set up a wax museum where the
statues of Hitler, Jawaharlal Nehru, Cartoonist Sankar, Rajiv Gandhi,
Sri Sri Ravi Sankar, A R Rahman, Mamooty
and Amir Khan are exhibited. He said that public response to his wax
museum here is encouraging. Sunil aims at setting up a museum similar
to the Madame Tussaud’s wax museum in Mumbai within the next five years.

He
said that the London museum exhibits about 400 statues and he plans to
create that much number of statues in the next five years for his dream
project.

friend in Oscar-winning music maestro A.R. Rahman, who has created music for 
two of his movies."Rahman and I kind of discovered each other during Rang De 
Basanti. With him, it's not project-to-project ... Ours is a collaborative 
effort and it's a great team," Mehra told IANS.The two not only meet and talk 
but also keep in touch via the Internet."We keep meeting, talking, discussing 
ideas over the Internet and Skype (Internet telephony) about the movies I want 
to make and about the music he's churning, etc," the director added.

Kozhikode, Tuesday 21 April 2009: The ‘Jai ho’ music programme in Kozhikode on 
May 3 featuring A.R. Rahman has been insured for Rs.3.5 crore by its organiser 
Global Kerala Initiative Keraleeyam against unexpected rains and disasters.The 
organisers said the programme had been heavily insured in view of the 
tremendous public response it had evoked from within and outside the country, 
it being Rahman’s first public programme after winning the Oscar.Superstars 
Mamootty, Mohanlal and Suresh Gopi will be in the city on May 3 to felicitate 
Rahman, the organisers announced on Monday.
To add local flavour to the show, 30 drummers have been invited to take part in 
the show. The drummers will be chosen by musicians accompanying Rahman..Rahman 
himself will lead a training session arranged for them on May 2.
Drummers interested in performing at the show have to register with the 
reception committee office of the ‘Jai ho’ programme on Mavoor Road before 
April 24.The selection will be made at 11 a.m. on April 25.All members of the 
Kerala Chamber of Commerce have agreed to buy tickets for the show. Industries 
Minister Elamaram Karim, who is also chairman of the organising committee, 
handed over the tickets to the president of the Chamber T. Abdulla at a 
function in Kochi recently. A counter for the sale of tickets has also been 
opened at the office of the Kerala Chamber of Commerce.
