[arr] Regd. LA Jai Ho concert tickets

2010-06-14 Thread Satheesh Punniamurthy
Hello friends,

I booked my ticket as soon as ARR online store started selling presale tickets,
then I got the seating confirmation via email. I haven't received anything
through postal mail. Do we need that or the email one is good enough. It just
12 days away, just thought of getting an opinion.

Who are all from this group is gonna attend the LA concert?

Thanks
Satheesh Murthy.

[arr] Re: Jai Ho Song List - Review -pn

2010-06-14 Thread kitcha_swamy
I attended the Jai Ho Concert in NY. It was a great experience to witness
Maestro AR in a grandeur environment with power packed energy & stunning dress
changes :). Well, to be frank, this concert is all about AR & AR only. I saw
ONLY YOU (sing it like Only You from Vandemataram) thalaivaa. I had taken my
Binoculars, so I was following AR everywhere LOL.

I think its not easy to package full fledged songs in a short span of 2hrs & 40
mins. The concert had non stop music with mind blowing visuals/virtual sets,
that was running in the background, all through. Lukka Chuppi visuals got stuck
on to my head now. From now on, the moment I hear Jai Ho Concert, all I could
think of is Lataji singing from the screen, looking down, where AR watches her
from the steps. Oh Man. Yes, it was truly a majical experience. I believe that
AR would have enjoyed doing Lukka Chuppi, the most in the whole show :).

There were other singers as mentioned by our friends in some of the previous
posts, but none of them had an opportunity to sing for an elaborate amount of
time. Hariharan's presence as usual got the crowd on their feat. Hariji started
with Bharat Humko & you could imagine the roar from people :). The unplugged
version was another big highlight. I think the best singer in the whole show
was AR. Listening to Khwaji was like hearing the Originals. AR Rocked. I was so
glad to see AR himself singing a lot of #s. The energy and dedication to sing
the song to its perfection was showing on AR's face, even when he was
constantly walking on steps, playing keyboard, shaking his legs with fellow
dancers/singers :). Hats off to AR & Team in giving such wonderful & quality
entertainment. I'm sure that the total tour would be a Massive Hit. Its going
to be a really tiresome tour but nevertheless, AR & Team is a symbol of Energy.
They can handle it with ease :).

Jai Ho !!!

[arr] Jai Ho Song List - impression

2010-06-14 Thread arr_raghu
the more we think the more right the show seems.
its wonderful to see ARR singing his jaagehai of bose, only you
and yeh jo des hai tera and lukka chuppi.
o its a complete pleasure to watch ARR standing and singing into
his microphone.. adrenalin rush.
He has by all means answered all his fans requests.
one might always think why not this song why not that, or something else
but the fact is that ARR has soo many chart busters that
it is just impossible to pack everything in 3 hours..
it will probably take like a 5 day test match to play bunch of ARR hits.

He is always trying to give new in the shows rather than rely on His pre 2000s
hits and then He is trying to spread his wings to more
international eclectic audience than sticking just with tamil and hindi..
more than anything, it seems He is building up his own package
a team for all his future concerts..
just have to wait and witness His next series of concerts hopefully with his
own school symphonic orchestra.
hope they release the DVD ASAP.. a Blu-Ray helps.
yeah, Gopal said it right..go watch the JaiHo tour for an experience.

[arr] Thousands flock to catch A R Rahman in action & Vedio

2010-06-14 Thread Siddiq Rahman
Thousands flock to catch A R Rahman in action

Piling up one
exciting showbiz piece after another, and unfolding against dazzling,
fast changing backgrounds, with over a dozen dancers and acrobats
adding additional thrills, the A R Rahman Jai Ho Concert: The Journey Home
World Tour got on to a rousing start in New York on Friday, continued in
Atlantic City the next day, and arrived in DC-Virginia on Sunday.
An
estimated 24,000 people saw the show in three days which will be moving
to cities across America and Canada before going to London and a
handful of European cities.
The concert with its eclectic mix of music including rousing songs from such
films as Jodhaa Akbar and Roja and foot-tapping numbers from Jane Tu...Ya Jaane
Na, also included a tribute to classicist Bade Ghulam Aki Khan (by
Hariharan) and the king of pop Michael Jackson (by Rahman). It has
been drawing such huge, capacity full crowds at each venue.
"Rahman is always big but now with winning the Oscars and Grammy awards, he is
even more powerful," said man in his 50s.
"None can resist his music. When the Rang De Basanti title song was played, I
was also dancing in the isle. And I saw around
me there were hundreds of kids, some of them must be in high school,
dancing and singing. This was a show that had everything, music and
spectacles."

It is a pity if people do not know Only You of VM.
They might have missed Roja janeman but I felt that
people have definitely enjoyed Bharat Humko.
How about add Tu hi re?
I do not know about the NYC stage size but at DC some part
of the orchestra had to hide behind those mechanical slides/stairs.
Positives- ARR all the way, fully energetic and all new wardrobe.
Negatives- Quality of the sound system and can be bigger orchestra.

directly into a vacume chamber or an empty desert where theres no one else
to answer your scream...none around to share the experience..
and the concert left me begging for more...from next time onwards I must attend
2 shows.

[arr] 'VTV' Hindi songs ready

2010-06-14 Thread Bivin Chandra
'VTV' Hindi songs readyIndiaGlitz [Monday, June 14, 2010]Gautham Menon's poetic
love story ‘Vinnaithandi Varuvaya' recently completed one hundred days and is
still running. Meanwhile Gautham is also ready to start the Hindi version of
‘VTV’.
One major change for the Hindi version is the songs. A R Rahman has composed
two new tunes for the Hindi version. Of the two one will be a duet and the
other will be a solo song for the hero. Tamil ‘VTV’ had seven songs and Hindi
will have eight.
A R Rahman had delivered the new tunes to Gautham before leaving on his Jai Ho
world tour. The pilot versions of the songs were recorded at ARR studios in
Chennai to enable the creative team to work on their digital story
boards.Trisha will play Jessie even in the Hindi version while Raj Babbar's son
Pratiek Babbar will be Karthik.

[arr] Kylie Minogue cheers for AR Rahman || Journey home concert videos on DVDs very soon

2010-06-14 Thread Bivin Chandra
Mumbai: AR Rahman had a star guest at his just concluded Jai Ho Concert in the
US. It was Kylie Minogue.
Kylie and AR Rahman bonded really well when the singer got her to sing Chiggy
Wiggy, a track from the film Blue that released last Diwali. The film bombed
badly at the box office and the track too didn’t stay on the charts for a long
time like other AR Rahman hits. But by that time, Kylie and AR Rahman had
forged a strong bond of friendship.“Kylie and Rahman remained in touch since
over email. Kylie wanted to work with Rahmanbhai again. He invited Kylie to his
Chicago show,” says a source close to Rahman.Rahman was pleasantly surprised
when he found Kylie on the front row of his show. Kylie was seen cheering and
clapping after every act of Rahman during the show.Rahman promptly tweeted on
Kylie’s page after the show.
“Thanks for coming, it was so nice to see you again,” said Rahman to
Kylie.Another piece of good news for Rahman fans is that the star musician has
decided to bring out a DVD of his successful tour in
the US.“I know you are all excited to share pictures and videos from the
concert. We are going to release a DVD of the concert later this year. Please
keep the surprise and excitement alive for the remaining cities on the tour,”
Rahman revealed on Saturday.

Re: [arr] lamhaa ( oustanding & magical )

2010-06-14 Thread vedavid manick
I concur that it is an excellent album. People may fault me for saying this,
but I think Madhno Re is the most beautiful song for the year thus far,
although as an album as a whole, Raavan is slightly better.

Impressed with Kshiti Tarey and Chinmayee, the latter for the year thus far i
think is in strong contention for female playback singer of the year now.

i haved always known that mithoon is an oustanding composer and he proves it in
every album.

from songs like " tere bin ", " aadat ", and soundtrack like " the train ", "
bas ek Pal ", " aggar ", " Anwar ", and his private album " tu hi mere rab ki
tarah hai ". this one is magical.

after a.r. rahman he is the one that can take the 2nd place from the composers
of this era.

mind blowing and worth a listen.
