[arr] CWG theme is actually growing on me....Final Review...it ends all...!!!
I have been listening to the CWG theme song...i don't understand people who don't understand music at all...leave alone Rahman sir's or CWG theme...i particularly fall for "lagi re ab lagi re lagan...o..o" and then the sitar interlude...awesome man!! what should Rahman sir have have done is to minus the operatic section in the initial of the song and should start the song where the rock guitar begins(as the original song is too aesthete to go down well with the masses) and the lyrics should begin with English(it would be more appealing internationally) till the line "kaisi sach hai sach hai dekho maati apni"..and every thing should remain same, all orchestration, tune everything...m PROUD of Rahman sir... P.S.:-Never judge a Rahman song on one go!!! i hate to say this butmany of our own members don't get the maestro's music at all...why have they joined it..i don see the point... Re: [arr] How many of your remember MEHERBAAN from TEHZEEB ??
hahwho would remember this song more than me...i bet...when that line come when Asha says "Aao tumse,(aahaan-in the background) aao tumse kahu dil ki har baat mai(yeeaah-in the back ground), tumse kar du bayaan, apne jazbaat mai"and then sings the same line afterwards...ohhh man that got me goosebumps, and if that was not enough the fusion part got me killed...sheer use of sitar and flute just sends you into the heavenrahman ro big time there..i suggested this song to so many people some got the feel some jackass didn't...but then..Asit Anand --- On Fri, 23/7/10, Lavanya wrote: From: Lavanya Subject: Re: [arr] How many of your remember MEHERBAAN from TEHZEEB ?? When I first heard the starting of the song, I thought it was the most UN-Rahmanish...then later on at the second interlude all my perceptions and assumptions changed in an instant! The AWESOME use of bamboo flute in such a classical way was simply out of the world! No one but our AR sir can think of doing such a thing, that too with such beauty and conviction! Re: [arr] Wonder why Sunidhi Chauhan/Hans Raj Hans were never used again
Do you wonder why Rahman never used Abhijeet after Naayak...there may be some professional differences, initially i used to like Abhijeet a lot but when i saw him on some reality programs i realized he is not that good as a person...there may be things that put you to refrain to some people just because the way they are is not that good...even if they happen to be a genius...just think if Rahman suddenly starts behaving like Anu Malik, how long will he be able to exist. [arr] My Review of Raavan, everybody will agree!!!
I've been hearing a lot of Raavan reviews some of them were absolutely absurd...like Raavan lacks soul and doesn't touch heart, which can be acceptable if only you don't listen to those kind of renditions. I bought the C.D the day it launched and have been listening continuously. Now i have my opinion ready.Raavan doesn't belong to the fast pace catchy number or genre and believe me its not for the crowd, it belongs to the aesthetic listener and not the masses it belongs to the like of Bose and Mangal Pandey(once Rahman himself confessed "it was more of 'in your face' patriotism and folk involved in the Album which was why MP and Bose were not received well with the crowd,Bose is my most under-rated Album),but most of us liked it just because of the sheer genius involved with some songs, atleast i liked!! My 5 year old niece remembers Ghajini and Masakkali by heart and that means those album not only had Rahman's genius but was also a crowd puller but Raavan is much of a classical and folk kind so that belong to me and not my niecetell me how many out in the masses would listen to Kural(Connection) not many but i do...every day it's listed in my playlist..Raavan is one CRACKLE OF AN ALBUM.trust me. How many accept? Rahmaniac Asit Anand

[arr] Any similarity between jashnebahara and Veer's Dabi Dabi saanso me
yes i do find the exact similarities with the same jashn-e-bahara song.its because the rhythm and the beat pattern are being the same..i don't know much about music but yes i did find similarities which i never mentioned but when someone else has found just the same, i had to reply to it.its because of the jashn-e-bahara being a cult song in a period film and veer being just that kind of a movie, composer sajid-wajid would have thought of going the same way Asit Anand The INTERNET now has a personality.
