[arr]: "yeh Delhi hein mere yaar" for CWG
Hi Rahmaniacs, Was just wondering if CWG committee can try to use Delhi-6 title track (yeh delhi hein mere yaar) at the promotions, hotels, stadiums, etc alongwith the CWG anthem. Although it already sounds international, they can ask ARR to provide a english only version or something similar. Sure that it would sound catchy enough for visiting foreigners and is quite relevant for the locals as well. Regards, Kiran I K

In fact, Manipaya is playing in my cd player while I'm writing this... I must say that I'm enjoying the songs so far. Plus, the new sounds ARR has created are a treat to the ears! I'm still wondering if ARR has used nadaswaram in Omana Penne (I have a feeling that ARR has used a different instrument to make it sound like nadaswaram) Nevertheless, I do need a few more days to form my opinion on the songs. Btw, I've read your review on the album. As always, it was wonderful, comprehensive and detailed! [arr] Lots more to do ARR!
Wishing AR Rahman many happy returns of the day! We as fans can only pray to the Lord that he keeps giving enough strength, and health to the Maestro to keep churning out music. After all ARR must be favorite child. How else can one man spread Peace, happiness to millions around the world and in the process of doing it, Change the human perception to Music. Thanks to the Lord for gifting us ARR. We hope that his greatness rubs off on many more Indians and help them to get inspiration to achieve greater heights in their respective fields. We as fans, feel the joy at even a single line praise of ARR, feel disturbed if someone has a negative to say about him, and feel the divinity his music possesses. So naturally, his birthday feels like ours :). I think this is good enough evidence about how ARR has become a part of our family amidst our ignorance. Sure that ARR himself would agree that there is still lots more to do. What else can you expect from him? Go ahead Sir, we can only stand behind you and spread your message far and wide. God Bless ARR, his family and all Indians! Jai Ho!
[arr] Blue: background music rocks!
Hi All, Yes! agree with Prashanth and Balaji's emails below. Today caught the morning show. I too feel that those who hated the movie just went in with too many expectations. It is definitely better than any of the recent action flicks. And it was disappointing to read criticism (i guess in rediff.com) especially of ARR's background score in the movie. Guess every ARR Fan should watch the movie just for the background music. It rocks! It is fast paced and you can actually feel the adrenaline rush in the action sequences just because of the sound. Stunner! Driving slow on road is going to be difficult whilst listening to the BGM. :) For those who do not know, only 4 songs are actually played during the movie + rehnuma at the start and Fiqrana at the end. Yaar Mila is reduced to just a few seconds running BGM (not sure if it was edited in the version showed at the theatre). But, no complaints with the BGM usage. Waiting for someone to share the BGM. Cheers to all ARR Fans! Take care! Regards, Kiran I K --- On Tue, 10/20/09, prakash krishnan wrote: From: prakash krishnan Subject: Re: [arr] Blue - worth a watch! To: arrahmanfans@ yahoogroups. com Date: Monday, 19 October, 2009, 7:57 AM Hi - Caught up on Blue yday. Went there with zero expectations, given the rash of adverse reviews on the Net. But I must say I was pleasantly surprised. While it surely wasnt a "great" movie, it surely wasnt the "pits" that the reviews were saying and most definitely not a 1 1/2 star that Rajeev Masand had given it. And yes..i surely loved the BG score. I mean...in an action movie, the BG had to be loud and fast. It cudnt be poignant and soft!! And the movie was not boring, the stunts were decent and the photography/ sound effects were top class. Guys - Those of you who havent yet watched the movie, do check it out. It surely is no worse that some of the "hits" of recent times!! Cheers, Balaji Try the new Yahoo! India Homepage. Click here.

Hi Rahmaniacs, I was browsing youtube when i hit upon a 40 sec still of Ghajini..you can hear some sufi based music at the background from the movie i suppose..not sure since you can hear a arabic part at the end which is similar to the one you can hear in "khalbali" (RDB) Not sure if some one has already posted itin case it is a repeat or not genuine, please excuse http://in.youtube.com/watch?v=6R4tKkLrD18&feature=related Greedy For ARR's music, Kiran Krishna From: Pravinder Sheoran <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com Sent: Wednesday, October 22, 2008 2:27:03 PM Subject: [arr] Re: Ghajini Music - Rhythm and Blues Honestly speaking, i am not a big fan of RAP or R&B at all. [arr] Yuuvraaj Music Reviews!
Hi Rahmaniacs, I was going through all the emails on Yuuvraaj music. Looks like most of us feel it is below expectations. But for me it is deja-vu. I remember hearing and seeing same reactions after music of "Taal" was released. Taal among many ARR albums probably took the longest to sink in. As some of the guys have pointed out, just try to give yuuvraaj few more listenings and then you never know, it could turn out to be another "Taal" or even better. Not to forget in Taal people loved the music even more after seeing the visuals. I guess, Subhash Ghai ensures music is in sync with what he wants to picturize although most of the time it is the other way around - Picturize after getting music. So we usually hope that directors can make justice to ARR's legendary tunes but in Subhash Ghai's case it is ARR who creates music for a visual and i am sure as usual it would have been a cakewalk for him. Sorry if any one felt offended. Happy listening! Take care!. An Avid ARR Fan, Kiran Krishna

Guys you are spot on. "Rasiya" and "Mein vari" have very complicated but new sounds..
