Chillout guys...

Reset your expectation meter just before listening to Enthiran, the expectation
u have on the Songs stops it from growing on you.

When i heard Muthalvan, Alaipayuthey, etc., for the first time I didnt like it
as much as i like it now... but it grew on me slowly like a slow poisoner,
whereas like Rhythm, Dil Se, Muthu they hit me directly at the first time. For
me Muthu, is direct hit for me but few of Super Star fans didn't like the songs
and protested against ARR for Muthu... rest is history (every one now claims
the
Oruvan Oruvan is the best of all rajin's intro music ...)

Raavan Enthiran are the albums which has all the songs i like.. even in the
VTV i will like to skip Anbil avan song sometime... i didnt find that catchy
to...

Bottom line : 'Ennakku ippa pidikkalanu sollu... Nalla illannu sollathaa

sweet.

i felt it was more spoken than sung. it was a type of poetry
recitation sort of song that Rajesh Roshan had given aplenty in 80s,
like, ham wo hain jo do aur do paanch bana de.

Why mention such odd song as an example of sweetness of ARR when he

probably u wanted to mention out of recent ones. well, why is khili

under his best...
I have read many forums wherein Illayaraja fans often compare Mouna Ragam's

because they cannot dare compare Mouna Ragam with Roja or Duet etc.,

Hai all,
This is interesting and not at all true things about
AR.Here is

His worst Romeo Attam
(Mr.Romeo), almost all of Love Birds, the song
celebrating Independence in Indian, Thayin Manikodi (does not suit
the mood of VandeMadaram) ,
vappati song in K.Seemaieley, Sonia Sonia (Ratchagan).

ARR's worst is love birds. There is a song sung by someone (who
probably has never spoken any Thamizh words prior to singing this..)
especially these lines:
en thamil kettaal, thaNdavaaLam thuLirkkum..
makkale..makkale .. tune-um maha erichchalaanathu. .

thenrale thenrale (kAdhal desam ) one of the ARR's worst dialogues!!
Any song having that MOST IRRITATING VOICE IN THE UNIVERSE G V
PRAKASH (yuck - sagodari maganaga iruppadu dhan avan
paaduvadharkkulla ore thaguthi!!!)
songs from pavithra can be included in the list (i don't remember
them )
sendhamizh nattu thamizhachiye (One finds it difficult as to who
sings for whom -shahul hameed and malgadi subha)
lucky lucky from rakshagan ( tamizh nna evlo velai enru
ketpavaraiyellam paada vaiththal ippadithan -SPBkku avar (padathil)
paadum pattukke chance kidaikkallai)
chandiranai thottadhu yaar (ubayam -suneeta rao)
thoda thoda malarndhadhenna( indira -superb dialogue)
eh muthupaappa (vandi solai sinraasu-idhellam oru tune).

Be rahmanaiac

Cheers
Aneesh

Style in Hindi should be rendered again by Blaaze... Because he has done well
in Tamil to bring a roughness in the voice... my choice for ARR's Voice is
Vaaji or Saahana... But Since sahaana in tamil is already sung by a hindi
singer... he might like to stick to the same singer... and remaining one is
Vaaji which ARR might take... and another pount ARR has sung a song which is
similar in range.. Ishq bina kya gena yaara from Taal.. wherein it starts in

man, I got u what u r trying to say... Rythmn pattern (dont mistake it for
Rythm or Backgroud of song) of the line Muthu Muthu siripu and Airtel

Let me give you another example... listen to Titan ad music... and Veetukku
Veettukku vaasapadi song from Kizhakku Vaasal... they will have the same kind
rythmn pattern... Does that mean Ilayaraja copied Rahman ?

There are some instances where he has lifted or been inspired by other

Let it be...
But tell me one thing... does that loop have a tabla and tavil sound. which
will micely mixed in munbe vaa song... and thats what is the perfect output
from our Rahman...
In Munbe Va song... Rahman touch will be seen from the chorus line Rango
Rangoli kolangal nee pottai... during which u will hear that so called loop
plus a thavil...
and when the charannam starts with Poovai thaai poovai thaai.. poovaikk oor
poovaithaai.. you will also here a tabla...

Adding these kind of stuffs to a simple samples makes the song super...
Can anyone tell me any other song from other MDs... wherein they have mixed a
loop with south indian instruments like this...

lovers who r extensively proned to more albums including international albums
could find these things otherwise mass music lovers who r mostly not
involved in these areas are more satisfied with what the MDs give to them.
such music lovers including me do not need any proof that this one is original
score that one is a lift... we really want to enjoy d resultant
product. one thing i can say that. why our indian MDs are not bothering
about their scores being lifted by others if they happen to hear them ??

for d simple reason they know they too have taken some other composer's tune
be a one line tune/bgm or small loop or even a full-song identical one...
if they r clean confident about their every composition is a original score
totally independent no way has any part of outsiders album or loop banks/song
banks, they will sue other composers for lifting... would become a cover
story... they themselves know about their kind of work become silent
audience... i would say that is not at all wrong if others say it is
wrong mean the sounds should entirely be indian without any mixture of western
which is something absurd to do it for they are doing business... indian
film music is all d western way with indian sounds does not mean they lack
originality Most of the MDs scores certainly have originality when taken
indian side of sounds with this they just fuse d western genre give us
hits. for this fusion they need to take support
from outside tracks which r not known to us as said before sometimes i
used to criticise other MDs using rehman tunes 4 that my friends would ask me
to meet rehman to speak about this they say rehman will show about d sounds
he used so far from other western albums. our MDs whatever they do with
hits, we r able to enjoy. let us not make a big fuss about lifting be

the beat measure of this sample is a clear copy of the rythm used by
A. R. Rahman in Munbe Munbe Vaa!!!

I like you guys to hear these samples, but pls give me a good link
where i can upload these files.

Warning : DO NOT GET SHOCKED HEARING THESE SAMPLES, THESE SAMPLES ARE
MADE BEFORE A. R. RAHMAN'S MUNBE MUNBE VAA!!!

I can say, that everybody uses samples, wheter they are beats or
sounds. Every producers gets inspired by some samples. Even A. R.
Rahman, the biggist composer of these times, uses samples in his
music arts.

Do not reply stupidness untill you heared these samples, otherwise you
are fooling yourself and others. First listen to the sample and then
give you're opinion.

Sorry for my bad English:P

Krishna

hi, u seem to talk sensibly... but to be i think we expect something more...
from ARR and thats why we talk about ATM. or else why then hell we are the fans
of ARR and why the hell we need to be a part of this community...

Everytime Sachin walks in with a bat we expect him score a big innings...
Everytime ARR composes for a movies we expect his score for BGM to something
different. And only those expections project their greatness to the outside
world. we have just drafted or penned our expectations... and i am sure that
ARR is going to exceed our expections by miles. (just like what he did for SOK
or Sivaji in the recent times)... i feel nothing wrong in penning our
thoughts...

I apologise if I had hurt anyone...

I'm an avid listener of Rahman's and I never put any expectation into
his music. If I expect something, then where is the fun in that? Let
him surprise us! He is the professional, although the idea of
suggestions was a noble one, in my opinion, I'd rather leave it to
him. Rahman was the one to break all expectations. If we want another
Athiradee, just by asking for it, will we know what it is going to
sound like? Athiradee is surely stylish but for me so Chaiyya Chaiyya
and listening to Athiradee alone i could never expect a chaiyya to
come next. And for all we know, he could have quite possibly broken
our expectations! which is very likely by the way.

One last thought, i believe the song picturizations have already
started, no?

If you want Rahman to do your kind of music, doesn't that defeat the
 whole purpose of being Rahman?

creativity must not be limited to the customers (fans)

arr started his carrier with no fans. his creativity
and ability is the one that made him to this point.

We know that. But fans have their expectations too.
   If ARR knows what
his fans expect, he can do better, I think!

Re: [arr] Re: What is the simplest song of ARR??

2007-07-04 Thread rufuswilliam.A
The Simplest song to me is Rasathi ... from Thiruda Thiruda...
It had just 5 tracks (Male Voice, Female Voice, Male Chorus Group, Female
Chorus group and a bass guitar... )

It is a simply made great song...
Few more simple songs are enna enna from Udhaya, Tenaliku ellam bayam from
tenali, nila kaikirathu (pathos) Indra. and lot more...

ARR produced sooo many songs in every possible genre in 15 yrs.
Every song of ARR is very specially structured, orchestrized,
  or carefully crafted.
But, At this point am wondering what is the simplest song of ARR.
Simplest, I dont mean less instruments or small in length or
easy to hum or bad song...
Forget about Veerapandi, dilsere and athiradhi..even
Chinni Aasai,...tu hi re, en kaadhale, raasaathi, nila kaigurathu,
dheemi dheemi, anarkali..and bolo guru are soo complex either with
tune or vocals or chorus or something else.
I cd not answer myself about which is the simplest of ARR songs?

  What is it?
it cannot be anbendra, uslampatti or oo vennila.
  Any ideas???
