Re: [arr] Yuvvraaj - Colossal score by Rahman 4.5/5 !!! IG review!

2008-10-21 Thread sudesh
All songs of Yuvvraaj movie are very good, no doubt. But somehow I
feel the magic touch of Rahman is missing in these songs !!!.

[arr] Slow Songs !!!

2008-10-21 Thread sudesh
When it comes to slow songs, no one can ever come near to ARR
composition .
Everytime i think about the change in music pre and post ROJA
release, I get thrilled. The music has drastically improved !!. ROJA
movie music had made me to listen to all tamil music of ARR , even
though i cannot understand tamil. After release of ROJA, me and one
of my collegemate(he too doesnt understand tamil ) became such a big
fan of ARR that, we used to eagerly wait for the next audio
(casette ) release of ARR and also enquire every week in audio shop
whether any new album of ARR has released.

Since we dont understand tamil, we just glance in audio cassette
cover for any letter A R and also for Panchaten records in. One
more diff was that, only ARR album had list of all musicians, this
helped us to identify whether album belongs to ARR.

Once we ended up buying album done by Suresh peters since it
contained Thanks to ARR.

Its ARR music which thought the real use of using 5.1 surround
system and also to watch movie with ARR music on theatres capable of
handling ARR sound !!.

Wish ARR compose albums for every national day!!!

Dear All,

I have a small doubt... Does hearing the songs repetitively,
enables one
to start liking the song for any Music Director, or it is a special
characterstic of ARR 's songs alone ?. The reason I am asking
is,,, I tried
doing this ( forcibly ) for some other MD's songs... ( though it
was a great
pain ) and I couldnt succed in it..

ARR also keeps telling that you should allow the music to grow in
you. But
its only his music , which really grows in us, whereas other MD's
music just
grows and dies off soon... No growth at all. Its always in a
dwarf stage,
  and withers off.

Has anyone felt like such an experience... I hardly listen to
other MD
songs, and just for trying to increase my music taste, forced
myself and
  ended in vain.

Why does ARR music alone have this uniqueness ?. How does it grow
in us,
and how come, a song which is initially disliked, becomes our
favourite to a
point, where we cant stay without hearing it..

( I feel this is because of some Divine Intervention in ARR songs )

[arr] Re: Robot has lots of special effects and masala - Aishwarya Rai

2008-10-07 Thread sudesh
Thanks for the post.

I beleive this groups is meant for discussing Rahman's Music. I could
not see any news related to A.R. Rahman in the below article.

Lets make it a point to place [ semi - arr ] for all post which doesnt
have any discussion about ARR music.

About future projects, Ash said, *Robot *is a Shankar-Rajnikant

can expect lots of special effects and masala. *Pink Panther *is an

I really appreciate the time and pain you took to create and upload
the so called 're- Mix ', where I can heardly see any mixing .

I would be really happy if you had titled this one as Re-Fast
or re-acceleration song...

First sight what I could infere is that may be trying to explain how
to change the tempo of song !!!..

Re: [arr]:Remembring Bangalore concert!!!

2007-11-24 Thread sudesh
Thanks to that wonderful rain, cause of which we are able to
stand/dance/sit very close to ARR sir. I really get excited whenever i
remember those moments, when sir came in front of us and said concernt
would not be postponed cause of rain...In between, i missed the chance
of huggin Blaze when came singing down to first rowI didnt get
that much courage during that time to Hug Blaze

Other sad part is that screen didnt worked out.. and other funny part
is some people where wearing those specs/googles/ to watch live.I am
not sure whether this will provide one more level of 3-d vision :-)...

To end, the expereince was excellent.. One of my best moment...

years back in bangalore!!!yeah..8th oct 2005!!how
can i forget that day!!i saw God live...he was at
some distance but still i cud see him singing
talking..just in front!!gosh!!it was out of the
world experience!!! but may b God was testing our
devotion..it started raining heavily..the back board
on the stage fell.. and everything was pretty messed
up!!show was delayed for more than an hr..we r were
getting restless but still had hope to see him just
once.. coz of heavy rain and wind..we all had lost
the hope..i was in tears..cursing my fate!!!and den
someone from crowd shouted!!!hey see rahman on
stage!!!and there he was ..wid his magical calm
   smile..as always..asking us to calm down..and giving
the assuarance that watever happens, he will
   definately play for us!!!

and yeah..he kept his word..he did play...and made
   us all crazy!!

the major power of his music was reflected by the
fact...that inspite of the bad rain!!(all of us were
badly drenched) ..still noone moved from their seat
   till he finished his performance!!!

i still remember ..he had to finish the show early
coz of the heavy downpoar again ..and he finished
   the show with vandematram...RAIN DROPSHIS
   VOICE..and i was standing on the chair...singing
with him...Gosh..i still get goose bumps remmebring
   those moments!!!

and atlast he thanked us for being there... he was
also amazed by his power which was bounding us all
together inspite of that heavy rain!!!

and i remember..after finishing off the show, wen
ppl had started to move back...he still stood at the
stage staring at the ppl ...wid smile on his
face!!as if he is also showing his love..the same
   love we have for him..

i didnt want to leave..but the friend of mine,
pulled my arm..as it was getting very late, we were
trying to find the exit in that muddy ground..in
   that rain...crowded wid ppl..
but my eyes were still on him...till he went back
   stage!!!

it was an amazing feeling!!!i can never forget those
   eyes ..those smile
as if he gave an acknlgment...that he loves us the
   same
