Hi!    Your answer needs correction.KM as in KM Music Conservatory stands for
Khalishah Mastan and not Khwaja Moinudeen.

 Hi Guys,
Heres a quick question..
Does anyone know the instrument which is played in the song 'Ishq Bina' from
Taal , at the very beginning ...it basically forms the intro of the song,
before Anuradha Sriram starts the 'Ishq Bina' part.
Anish.

2010-02-02 Thread venkat krishnan
Hi guys!
I m anaged to get a copy of ARR's VTV original audio on the same day
of release at music world trichy.Out of curiosity I asked the shopkeeper about
the audio sales. This was what he told me"Just within hours of the audio
release, already 5 batches of cds had got over.A batch contains 300 cds and he
told me that the audio sales were very good. Guys realize that if the audio
sales are fantastic in a small city like trichy, imagine for the stat, nation and
the whole world.

ARR rocks!Jai ho

Re: [arr] Did anyone notice the whistling sounds in Dil Se Re, second half?

2009-10-10 Thread venkat krishnan
hi guys!
There is one more instance where arr proves that there is no one
else to use instruments.this is from oru dheivam thantha poove from kannathil
muthamiital sung by chinmayi(not the male version).if u carefully notice u will
be able to hear the sound of the bass guitar fron 5.10-5.17.That's simply
awesome.

Pradeep, Indian song - thats the sound of the violin strings ... observe
closely.

Another one -
Aye Bachu - 00:12 - 00:35 - the metal guitar has some reverb added - very
feeble reverb.
And.. when the singer starts singing , pay close attention to the lines "Aye
Bachu, Tu Sun le..." (Left Ear), the main lead guitar plays for those 2
lines... its a beautiful thought actually.. very stylish.

Arun, thanks :) brings back memories of 95/96

In Indian there is one more example.. although I think (IMO) it is not ARR
intentionally doing it.
reason being - it is out of synch / out of timing.

In Pachaikiligal tholodu - when the 2nd interlude plays, there is a distinct
CHIME souunding, like somebody's Wrist watch just chimed on the Hour   I've
always thought its a recording mistake :)
Pls listen at 3:31 - 3:33.

@Pradeep : :) .. I can understand.. . & thanks for reminding me of Indian...

Maya Machindra - 0:35-36 / 0:44-45 - a very minute piano note - bridging the
gap between the trumpet pieces..

ok, i'll try to recollect all these kinds of songs that I know..
here is one i remember right away..
Movie: Indian
Song; Tada
from 5:00 to 5:05 , small periodic note, when the beat is off.

03:15 to 03:21 - flute + violin
04:54 to 05:05 - Flute + violin piece. Not there in its Hindi version
Pradeep - isnt the number 4 a bit of a flute piece too? My thought..

here you go.. enjoy. In the Tamil version - Maa Tujhe Salaam
1. between 1:10 and 1:14 - small violin piece.
2. between 2:05 and 2:08 - another violin piece.
3. between 2:54 and 2:58 - high pitched violin.
4. between 3:02 and 3:05 - low pitched violin piece

A very miniscule % of ppl only can notice it, still ARR does it  !!!
our Aravind AM asked this Question to him in a Rediff Interview, and ARR's
answer was brilliant for that..
Similar example : Notice the difference between the Hindi & Tamil versions of
Maa Tujhe Salaam :)) U could see ARR being partial :)

They're in the background in the mix, but definitely there. It's a loop. Only
ARR could do something wild like that! I've known about this sound in the song
for a long time. Has anyone else noticed it? It starts right when the second
music interlude begins.
