[arr] Ranbir-Rahman get jammin
The actor and the composer met at a music sitting session in Chennai Ranbir Kapoor is a huge A R Rahman fan. Recently he got a chance to interact with the Oscar-winning music director and also attended a music session with him. Ranbir was in Chennai with his Rockstar director Imitaz Ali who was meeting the maestro for a sitting. RK tagged along. A source reveals, The music of Rockstar will be a blend of uptempo and soulful tracks. Since Ranbir plays the title role, Imtiaz wanted him to attend the sitting and give inputs. But Ranbir, totally awestruck by the composer sat silent through out the session. RK's first time Rockstar will have six tracks composed by Rahman. As Ranbir has sung a song for Sajid Nadiadwala's Anjaana Anjaani, the composer teased him about turning crooner. The source adds, This was the first time Ranbir attended a music sitting and he had a great time. He kept telling Rahman how much he loved his work and that he was thrilled to work with him for the first time. This will be the first time Imtiaz will be working with a composer other than Pritam.

It's a very unique and innovative concept We also decided to get some more details on the film and its cast, *Ada- a way of life* is a film which has many different layers. It's a love story with a social, spiritual, family and crime angle to it. The cast comprises of debutant actor Ayaan Ahmed and Nauheed Cyrusi who play the romantic lead. Apart from them we have Rahul Roy and Ayesha Jhulka who play the role of the parents and there is also Saurabh Dubey who plays the antagonist, said Tanvir We also quizzed the director on the status of the film. Well the film is complete, the post-production is currently going on now. As for the music, we had a formal launch at the Nokia event yesterday but the music should be in stores by May 6. The film would release after two months. Said the director For those who came in late, we at *Bollywood Hungama* had earlier reported of director Tanvir Ahmed's plans of making a film titled *Ada* which was to star Big B and Dilip Kumar in the year 2001. So we decided to get the facts straight from the director if this is the same project or a different one considering the title is one and the same, Yes I had decided to make a film called *Ada* long time back We had decided to make it on a grand scale with some big names and Rahman had composed the music for us after *Lagaan*. Mr. Jhamu Sugandh was supposed to produce the film but things didn't work out and the project didn't take off due to certain reasons. Now my film *Ada- a way of life* only has the same title but it is a completely fresh and different story which is more relevant in today's times. However since Rahman had made 10 tracks for us which were nice romantic numbers I decided to retain them in this film. Incidentally, debutant Ayaan Ahmed happens to be director Tanvir Ahmed's son, so is this, like a launch for him, Nothing of that sort. It's just that I was finding a new hero for this fresh love story and he suited the character aptly. By Moviebuzz | Friday, 26 October , 2007, 11:12 Kamal Hassan has started pre-production work on his new film Marmayogi, which he is directing and producing, on first copy basis for the corporate Reliance Adlabs. Kamal's Marmayogi, is said to be a historical adventure romantic film with an 'A' list of actors. He has already contacted Bollywood actress Kajol, to play the heroine in this film, which will have music by A.R Rahman. The others including technicians are being worked out. It will be the second time that Kamal is using an old MGR title for a film of his. Earlier he had used the title Sathi Leelavathi (1936), and now the famous MGR starrer Marmayogi (1951). It has tremendous title value, and the modern Kamal film will have three versions in Tamil,Telugu and Hindi.

The audio of this most awaited movie was all set to be released on 4 April. Reports indicate that songs were illegally released by an UK based website in the early hours of Thursday. However Media Studios are quick to clarify on the songs available on the net. A hand out issued by them in a blog read, 'inspections are on how it has leaked. But we are sure that it has come out from the sets. All the songs are scratches. The final mixing is nowhere near to these. Especially on the Sunlight song sung by Shaggy, Blaaze and Tanvi; what is available on net is just a scratch piece for shooting. Asin out, Ayesha in!By Moviebuzz | Monday, 29 January , 2007, 10:34 First the bad news - The `numero uno` Tamil actress Asin will not be the heroine of Aamir Khan in the Hindi remake of Ghajini which will be directed by A.J.Murugadoss. Ayesha Takia who had done that super hit Telugu film Super opposite Nagarjuna and the recent multi-starrer Salaam-E-Ishq is going to play the role of Kalpana made memorable by Asin. Allu Arjun (Brother-in-law of Telugu superstar Chiranjeevi ) is producing the Hindi remake of Ghajini. Aamir Khan will do the lead role of the guy suffering from short term memory loss, out to avenge the death of his lover. Murugadoss will be directing the Hindi version with A.R.Rahman's music, camera by Ravi.K.Chandran and editing by Antony. The entire technical crew of the film is from Kollywood and hence it was decided that the cast should be from Bollywood! This was one of the reasons why Asin lost out to Ayesha. In fact Aamir Khan who had seen the original was all in awe of Asin's performance and had recommended her strongly for the project. A camera test was done in Chennai on her and another top actress from south, but both failed to reach the expectations required for a Hindi film heroine! Immediately Ayesha Takia was flown in from Mumbai and after the camera test, she was selected to do the coveted role of a middle-class, small time model who becomes the sweetheart of a business tycoon. The buzz is that a part of the film will be shot in Chennai city. Sources close to the production house comments: Ayesha has a perfect blend of innocence and glamour and moreover her performance in the recent Nagesh Kukunoor directed Dor had come in for lot of appreciation. The shoot for the untitled film (likely to be titled Ghajini itself) will start from mid-April.

Well I heard all the songs of Guruand the big surprise is that on first hearing I have liked 5 out 7 songs of Guru.which is quite surprising..and best out of them is Tere Bina and Barso Re Barso Re - Rahman is back with Naveenu ppl must hear the starting flute played by Naveen just awesome...and the rest of the song is just superbthe precussions and all just fantastic Tere Bina - I dont know how many times I have repeated this song...I cant just get over this...its so damn goodRahman sings it so beautifullywhat a tracku guys should u hear it...I have no words to explain how this song...is... Ek Lo Ek Muft - Situational songit's a sort of fun songthat one will start liking after watching the picturisation of the song... Mayya - Awesome tracka hindi song with an Arabic...touchthe music is too goodand the singer Maryem Toler has done a great job...this songis the one that is picturised on Mallika Sherawat... Ay Hairathe - the song starts with Rahman singing Dham Dhara Dham Dhar chashm chashm...u really get goosebumps...when he sings...this part...and then when that stanza is over...Hariharan takes over...with a sfot melodybeautiful track...my favourite after Tere Bina and Barso Re Baazi Laga - A fast track...good musicI liked this one on first hearingI have to hear it more to comment on it Jaage Hain - A small song...Rahman and Chitra do a very good jobthis one but...will require repeted hearing...before u start liking it...this song could bring tearsafter viewing the picturisation of the song...
