Re: [arr] I'm still loving Puli......

2010-08-25 Thread Jahanzeb
To me Puli is way better than Enthiran. a clear winner.
Ammathale, Powerstar and Maaranlente all rock big time. I liked the first two
immediately but now Maaranlente as well has grown on me so magically.

I can't get enough of the line that goes:
"Alaati hayithe..."

Why, pray why, does it appear for just one fleeting moment! Could listen to
Maham Maaye a zillion times just for this line. And it's sung so, how shall I
put it, "cutely"?? Telugu by its very nature is such a sweet language, and the
way this line was rendered makes it doubly so.

Btw, what does it mean? A pukka non-Telugu myself.

I get this feeling I am gonna listen to a lot more Telugu now. Rahman made me
fall in love with Tamil, will he do the same with Telugu?!

As much as I'm struck with Enthiran, I'm still going to Puli a lot and loving
it! Funny thing..I previously mentioned that Maham Maye was my least
favorite on it? It has now become one of my favorites..what a
trackvery
impactful and full of punch and energy. The strings section is out of this

AJ, on this you deserve some grief from all of us ;-)

Just kidding, I was surprised when you said you did not like it. And if you
remember I told you I will wait for your review later :-)

I always knew Maham maye is a great song. Totally groovy and funky at the same
time being a telugu masala song from ARR.
An extremely rare category ! Enjoy it while it lasts.
