[arr] Re: If Mozart were alive . . .

2005-06-24 Thread ST
Hey Guys,

I don't interpret it as a mere comparison; its an analogy.. times are
different. Mozart was the best of his time and ARR is the best of
ours. Media has popularized a phrase for describing ARR - "Mozart of
the West". Does that not offend Mozart fans? I'm sure it does a
little. Despite that it gained popularity in the media because it is
difficult to convey the greatness of ARR without comparing it to
something the audience is familiar with.

I think this statement serves the same purpose.

Yaa I too feel the same... we should not hurt others or compare Rahman's greatness with others
Mozart was great in some ways and so is Rahman... comparing them is not the right way of proving the maestro in Rahman.
I am very sure if ARR sees this quote he will never agree to it.
So kindly think about such quotes...

Dear fans,

Am I the only one who thinks calling Mozart himself as Rahman is
right?? Dont you think any Mozart fans reading this will feel that we
are a bunch of fanatics??? What would Rahman feel about us (this
group) if he comes to know

Okay, someday if a HJ, Yuvan, or Anu Malik fan does the same thing
(Call Rahman as a Anu Malik of South for example) and puts it on
T-Shirts, Caps and Jeans, how the hell will you react or feel about
it? Think twice carefully before selecting this quote...

IT CLEARLY DOES NOT APPEAL TO THE PERSONALITY We all love and support.

Above all, dont you think it is far better to relate Rahman with more
natural but global words?? Like say, "TsUNEAMI", "Rahman - The R of
Rhythms" or something more simpler but creative enough to make a
lasting impression on the reader's minds...

Do give it a thought. Sorry if I have hurt someone's feelings. This
was just my opinion.

Thanks.
Chandra.
