Whenever the movie with ARR releases, i eagerly wait for the first review of the movie and i will go directly to the last part (conclusion) or the rating, and when i find its gonna bomb or fail at BO, i feel totally disappointed and i feel this been happening a lot lately with ARR related movies. As fans of ARR we will always treasure his songs and BGM's all our life, but the other normal people (Non ARR fans) will remember the songs only if the movies becomes a hit or blocbuster. Gomzy, The advantage of working with these young directors is that rahman is given complete freedom...He can experiment a lot.. Do you expect rahman to give songs like taxi taxi, i miss u da , elay elay in one single album when he works with mani or shankar...and oh ya..considering the subjects that these directors are dealing in at presentwe could only dream of these kind of songs.. --- On Sat, 9/27/08, Gomzy <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: From: Gomzy <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Subject: Re: [arr] Re: ARR's another hard work wasted in sakkarakatii To: arrahmanfans@yahoogroups.com Date: Saturday, September 27, 2008, 10:56 PM But Mahima, this is still not an excuse. RE: [arr] Re: ARR's another hard work wasted in sakkarakatii
dear friends, i had a doubt from the atrting of the movie itself whether this movie will also become another e20u18 and it happened when some of my arr fans said their review immediately after the first say first show. everyone of us disappointed on movies result as anna is doing few movies and if it is not becoming a hit the songs wont reach the mass becaue of the result. it is common to all the md's. it is natural that we hope that all movies of anna should becmoe a hit but we should take anything lightly, think for a while how arranna might felt bad that his hardwork and beautiful score for the film will get reduced once the review is not good. My views on the movie sakkarakkatti 1.every fan of arr should watch this movie for his deadly re-recording (songs not to mention as we already known about the quality) 2.thought they might have used taxi song as title song, and anna changed my thought form the second bit itself, beautiful title music and a perfect score for every scenes in the first half including two english songs as bgm in the movie(vithur my friend u r having a big job in filtering the movies bgm and sending it) 3.only songs are the highlight in the second half, since there is no story how the songs will get click. 4.songs picturisation, dance in taxi song and photography are other area to be congraulated oher than music. 5.my question to Dhaanu sir,how he was very confident that the storyline and screenplay will attract the people and how he agreed for the movie? anna we are all with u and keep up ur good work,we enjoyed ur music in every scene of the movie and expecting the same in evry movie. our small reques u have the capability to do more movies but u wont, please sonsider from our point of view,if a movie fails also we wont felt bad that another of ur movie will make it,when u are not doing much movies like one tamil in a yr and if it fails we feel very sad. please look over it. friends in this community close to anna,do convey this to him. past is past and i am sure that not only his music and songs will be a hit in cassette sales but also the movie. "Chennaiyil oru Malaikalam" will cure the wound that caused to us by sakkarakkati. Obviously, it hurts when movie doesnt do well on box office. Projects that Rahman takes, music is obviously the positive point of the project, but music gets even higher acclaim and gets on better sales if movie is appreciated. Any movie that doesnt do well, music doesnt get sold as much as it should have been. In Rahman's case, music is one giant PART of the project. Rahman's music stands out itself. Looking at the list that you posted. SOK, Uyire (Dil Se) - Rahman won filmfare award for best music director for them even though movie didnt do well. hence, movie's performance effects partially in this case. Others movies that you listed there, people know them from Rahman's music, not from actor's performance. None of ARR 's work goes wasted Each and every piece of his BGM is a treasure. For that matter, I am still searching for films like Super Police, Gangster, Monalisa or Kabhi Na Kabhi for ripping BGMs. On Sat, Sep 27, 2008 at 10:54 AM, rivjot <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> wrote: > Sath, > > I agree with you only upto some extent here.
