Roja was technically brilliant album and it was trend setting digital music in indian film industry it was not a simple score as u said. few days back I listened to Roja.. Though I liked it I felt it was too simple..The main reason for that is our ears are right now tuned to different style of music..espicially due to complex arrangements our boss did after 2000. I was just thinking if he did Roja rite now it would not be as popular as it was 1992. Max it can become a hit. So we are better of getting smthng like Yuvvraj ( my personal fav post 2000) or anythng new. Pudhu vellai Mazhai is COMPLETELY WESTERN CLASSICAL... Ofcourse some Indian raagas are used. Thw divinity along with WESTERN touch is what attracted TIME magazine to rate it as the 10th Best Soundtrack Ever!!
