Re: [arr] Watch ARR's MTV interview!

2008-08-05 Thread Aravind AM
Hi,

I wonder why everyone is taking it so seriously
As Gomzy also said, Curyis is just a clown. All his interviews are like
that only...
It's not supposed to be a serious interview.. he is supposed to pull the legs
of ppl!!

ARR was such a sport, and I really enjoyed it!!

I am not complaining much cuz ARR was funny and bemused but yeah
there were a few
things which Cyrus could have avoided. Like he looked so sarcastic when asking
about ARRs
international projects and how Bombay Dreams faired.

He is a clown and shouldnt be taken seriously though.

But the best interview ever was by Arnab Goswami for Times now. He looked so
intimidated by ARR.
I havent seen this side of Arnab ever for anyone. He was so glad that ARR was
right there with him.

I really love the fact that ARR is seen more nowadays compared to
half a decade back maybe..I love the way he's not very shy anymore
and he's grown out of that shell.

On the other hand, I felt this became too much. CB was trying to be
too funny while I trust myself, he was NOT! I know it's a fun kinda
interview with wisecracks and wherever possible AR co operated..
One needs to read before you interview and where on Earth did he

read that AR does movies only for big banners??
The fun part is okay, lets take it in the sportive spirit, agree-but
some statements like this put you off!!
Gops told us about how AR was forced into Skatti by way of emotional

blackmail. A lucky meeting With the Director of ADA, said how
supportive ARR was through "thick and thin" of the production
house. How he never demanded money?? How he never cared about fees
while he worked? How he got involved with a good script and

delivered ten amazing tracks?

Not really sparking off a controversy here..to those who like the
interview-great! I think im just being judgmental here, but a huge
rahman fan nevertheless. .Im too used to interviewers respecting his

work and the time he has willed to spare...that unfortunately was
missing here!

The baa baa black sheep part was pretty stupid. Otherwise, ARR held

Re: [arr] Watch ARR's MTV interview!

2008-08-04 Thread Vithur
This was a different interview, but personally, I didnt like it at all. The
Interviewer was making mockery of ARR, to a over extent. Each and every
minute of ARR is precious and is to be used for constructive purposes, and
there are millions of people waiting to hear him speak, say something, and
amidstt all this, this person here was taking too much advantage of ARR.

1. I learnt from this interiew that Boss likes himself to be addressed as
AR.. Good. Now, I understand why Vijay Iyer was saying AR in his Rahmania
Show...

2. Cyrus was pin pointing on asking AR to sing Ba Ba Black Sheep , and in
between saying this is not a high budget one.. ( Thats too bad , this was
like pinpointing at AR doing only high budget movies etc .)

3. ADA - A musical Journey of AR has a meaning attached to it, and its not
for AR 's own advertisment that it has been printed like that. But this guy
was making fun of that too...

In toto, not a serious one, but certainly little bit irritating one too
Jokes apart, when you are with AR, there is much more to be heard from the
Maestro..

In the beginning of the speech, he says, that AR was in Mumbai for some
health reasons Oh. It also looked like AR wasnt that well. Does AR go to
Mumbai for any health wise problems ???.
