Re: Should ARR withdraw from local awards now? (Re: [arr] Triple Filmfare nomination)

2009-02-16 Thread Shah Navas
Good thoughj I would say. . He will go to different league altogether by
giving up these (at least Filmfare) awards. . Well he has been in a
different plane always. . Say for political reasons (which is often the case
with these awards) he looses, there will lot of opinionated talks. . Say if
he wins in spite of a fresh new music by others, worthy of awards, there
will be so much comments all over again. There's nothing much left for
Rahman to conquer in India. Infact promoting new talents would decrease the
pressure on him.

But it is up to him. . .

Should ARR withdraw from local awards now? (Re: [arr] Triple Filmfare nomination

2009-02-16 Thread A.R.Rajib
truly Saying ... From Many Years i Really Think ARR Doesnt Deserve To
Be Nominated In Any Category In Bolly World... The Awrads Authority
Must Give Him All The Awards At First

Best BGM

Best MD

Best Singer ( If He Sings A Single Track That year..be Sure That Is A
Legendry Song.. )

And They Can Give ARR A Lifetime Achievement Award Every Year ...As he
( Only He)..Took Bolly In World Stage... Winning Major Awards In World
Arena With Bollywoody Job... And Rocking The Whole World with Total
Bolly Number " Jai Ho"...

I Really Think ARR Should Not Be Nominated...As Every Artist's Work Is
Just nothing In Front Of His ... So It's Looks Odd If He Wins And
other Artists Just Sit At The Award Ceremony Silently...And Clapping
Their Hands For Him Evrytime ...

... Then They can Announce Who Give Good Fight With Him I Mean Who
Is The Second Prize Winner ...And that Will Be a Very Honourable Award
To Get 2nd Prize Competing With ARR... But At First They Must Give All
The Awards To Him No Artist Can Even Do Magic Like ARR So Y
Nominating ARR With These Guys...

These Guys Busy In making Money ...Not Music...Busy In Coping Others
Creativity.

If Any Other Guy Wins Inspite Of Rahman Sir... Then Just Think ...
They R Not Matured Enough To Judge ARR Works ... ARR's Work Doesnot
Make U Crazy In The First Time... It's A Slow Poison ...It Will Hunt u
For Years..

Shankar-ehsann-loy Do A Preety Decent Job In Their Every Album... But
Inspite Of Them . I Dont see Any promising Artist

What Do U Say Guys ??? :)

Thanks, Leslie.

That is what I was pointing at. ARR is now a father figure. Kids would
be humbled in front of him.

Hope this reference would put things in proper perspective:

I also think he should just continue. Some people might mistake him for being
rude. People might also say that now for ARR only foreign awards matter n he
does not respect local awards. So, I think it is better he just continue with
all the local awards.

I think it is a very good suggestion. He should stop competing as he is
miles ahead of others. He is not their competitor but their guru. So it is
best that ARR steps out of these meaningless races.

ha ha ha. Good one.

Actually, you are right. Just think how much pressure the juries or
voters of Indian awards would be now onwards when any of ARR's work is
listed for nominations or awards.

It seems that ARR should now slowly withdraw from smaller level awards
to give other artists a chance. It is OK. I have heard Lata ji had
withdrawn from some singing awards half a century earlier to give other
female singers a chance.

What do members feel about it?
