Re: Help with a UNIX script to STOP the AREmail daemon

2008-07-20 Thread Jason Miller
Hi George,

Interestingly enough we see the same thing with the window email
engine. It has bee a few years but you should be able to call
emaild.sh script (I think that is the name) and give it a stop
parameter. Once armonitor sees that it is stopped it should
automatically start up again.

2008-07-20 Thread Jason Miller
Now that I think of it, the script maybe start with 'ar'. The
documentation has the actual script name and default location.

Re: Email address on Remedy (6.3 p 24) Incoming Messages.

2008-07-20 Thread Chetan Shinde
Rajeev,

The Display name is configured in the form "AR System MailBox Configuration".
So you can change the display name to the email address by which it will
display the email address rather than the Name.

Hope this answers your query.

Thanks & Regards,

Subject: Email address on Remedy (6.3 p 24) Incoming Messages.

**

Hi,

We have an Email Engine 6.3 p24 running on a ASR 6.3 p24.

We have configured the email Engine to accept Incoming Messages.

The integration with the xchange Server(2003) works fine, but shows the Display
Name ( Last Name, First Name) in the "From" Section on the Email Messages form.
( Note this is for incoming emails).

We would like to authenticate the email based on the email address rather than
the Name.

Is there a way that we could get the email address in this field. Is this an
exchange setting or a Remedy configuration that we can tweak.

Thanks in advance
Regards

Rajeev

Re: Different encoding on WUT and Midtier (tomcat)

2008-07-20 Thread michep
Andrei,

I think you use mid-tier 7.1 patch002 or patch003, right?

So, you have to replace library arcmn71.jar in folder WEB-INF\lib with
the one from patch001 or release version of mid-tier.

p.s. and dont forget to replace this library in emaild engine
directory too!

Re: Viewing caned Crystal Report

2008-07-20 Thread Rod Harris
Hi Robert,

The sub-report feature of Crystal could be used. Selection queries in these are
left unchanged. Your main report could return 1 row of a form such as "Report"
and the real table and qualification could be on the sub-report.

Has anyone found a way to view a crystal report with embedded
qualifications and not have ARS strip them ?

I am trying to view a report from an AL that comes from an external
data source and has a .rpt file that has the correct qualifications, but
I get all records because Remedy does not use the qualifications.

Since it is an external database, I can't build the qualifications in
the report AL because Remedy does not recognize the fields.

You would think if you called the report with no qualifications, it
would run the canned report as is.

Re: Email address on Remedy (6.3 p 24) Incoming Messages.

2008-07-20 Thread Rajeev John
HI Chetan,

Thank you for your response.

Would you be able to ellaborate on the exact setting that would need to be
changed. I tried most , but could not get the change that would get the
email address here. Is there something that needs to be changed on the
Exchange Server as well.

The goal is to get the email address in the "From" field of all messages in
the Email Messages form for incoming messages.

Thanks in advance.

Rajeev

Hi Sharon,

While creating Sla, please check your qualification might be data type
mismatching. And check your SLM installation log also. Might be some
workflow object is missing.

Hope this helps...

Re: sla errors

2008-07-20 Thread Sharon-Michal Mamon-Meged
Hi Sandeep ,
Thank you for your email .
I think i didn't explain my problem well .
I am dealing with working sla . I can't save old ( or new ) sla if the
"effective date" date or the "expriation date" date is 12/31/2008
for example : if the date will be 12/10/2008 the sla status will be "built
successfully" and if the date will be 12/31/2008 the sla status will be
"could not be build"
I think my problem is something about the date format in the server but i
don't know what to do :)
I hope i have explained my self better now .
Thanks in advanced

Re: LDAP Integration with AR Server

ARERR 100 is related to:

Request ID parameter is empty.

The operation being performed requires the request ID to be specified, but
the parameter was not supplied. Try the operation again, this time
specifying the request ID for the entry.

Hope this helps...
