Re: Email Engine Errors - Seen this before?
It looks like the problem was one of the messages on the Lotus Notes server. Re: Reg ARS 7.6.03 AR Server Licenses imported from ARS 6.4 on AIX
Remedy servers are licensed per server (HostID). Since you are moving from 1 server to another that is called a purge and can be performed on the support web site. I believe that when you purge (giving the site the new HostID so a new key is generated) that you have something like 30 days to stop using the old key so you have time to switch. With the ARS 7.x platform only the server has an actual license key, that is why you are seeing what you are on the licenses. But, any idea if I switch the host Id of current and new Server? I already imported the 6.4 license file in 7.6 and it shows correct number of lisences and also, only ARS server license key is comming up there. So I think if I switch the HostId, system should work. What do you think, please comment. You will need to contact BMC support, send them your license file and have it converted to a 7.x version. Re: Reg ARS 7.6.03 AR Server Licenses imported from ARS 6.4 on AIX
Ø You will need to generate new 7.1+ licenses from the BMC Support website as they change when moving to ARS 7.1+. Just FYI, this is not quite correct. While it is true that the format changed, the importing of pre-7.1.00 license files automatically converts the server license key format to 7.1.00. This can occur either during an upgrade or when the import is done post-install. However, if the hostid has changed, that seems the most obvious issue to address. -David J. Mid-tier changes do not go in Home directory. I think you need to create a User Preferences record to have changes saved.
