**

Could there be a chance that somebody with admin access may have deleted the
entry accidentally either directly through the interface or through some
customized workflow? That is where I would look at for missing entries in a
database. The other possibility would be if the database was restored at some
point and there was a loss of some of the transactional data during restoration?

Hi All & Happy Monday

Have a situation where the user sent an email from the Incident and a work log
entry was not created. I was able to verify the AR System Email Message was
created, sent and received. Haven't had this issue reported once in over 4
years and could not replicate. Also could not find anything on the BMC KB on
this. Has anyone run into this issue?

Auto Complete Issue

2015-09-22 Thread Gentry, Elmer L CTR USSOCOM HQ
I have a guy that is using the Auto Complete function for Change Coordinator
and Change Manger very often. Basically he does not use the mouse at all. When
the user is typing the auto complete is showing incorrect user names for a
group that is set in the Coordinator group field. Or the response is no matches
found.

DO NOT USE THE MOUSE TO ACCESS THE MENU. In an existing ticket clear out the
coordinator group and type a group name. Once the list comes up using the
tab/arrows highlight the group. Tab to the Coordinator field and type a letter
of a valid person in the group.

What is the impact to your business for this problem? (number and type of users
effected, potential loss of revenue, project delay). Slowing users down with
processing tickets.

BMC had a demo with me and we did find that if you typing the name in the
Change Coordinator fileld...user that do not have the System Role for a
coordinator for the selected group still will show in the list.

AIF: Mapped fields creating an Incident

2013-12-26 Thread Gentry, Elmer L CTR USSOCOM HQ
With an AIF(Template With Backend Mappings ARS 7.6.4) can I use the BMC
defined mapped fields to define which path(AOT) to take in the PDT when
before creating the incident fulfillment record?

Configuration
PDT:
The PDT has the following at the decision point 'Type Of Request' =
Password
Reset (if yes goes to one AOT if no then goes to the next decision
point)
Type Of Request = Desktop Issue, etc. So all my decision points
use the
variable 'Type Of Request'

SRD:
Has the variable 'Type Of Request' mapped to SR Type Field 1

Process/Workflow:
AIF:
In my AIF I have set the SR Type Field 1 via active link
to the value that is selected for the field 'Type OF Request'

SR:
SR is created with the 'SR Type Field 1' populated with, i.e.
Password Reset

The SR is created but no Incident recordNo errors in the SR(Process and
Questions tab)

So I guess my question is...is there workflow that is missing that forces
the
PDT to use that 'SR Type Field 1' for validation or is that field only used
to
pass data to the SR for a work order?

Thanks Axton. I've not used NOT before.
Your example does work querying the incident form, etc. But does not work on my
vendor form (I said view form before, that's incorrect, my fault). Also
'field1' is a character field...

'field1' LIKE %/% -- works and returns the expected results. But I want the
opposite.

NOT 'field1' LIKE %/% -- no entries are returned.

Anything else I could try?

Thanks - Marcelo
