Re: ARERR [9217] fail to load data visualisation field for SRM 2.2.0 Patch 003 using ARS 7.5

2009-09-16 Thread Mohtashim Abbasi - Technosys Limited

Thanks Ankita for the solution. I've just found out that I'm missing
following active links.

1. SRS:SRC:EN_SetEntitlement_CallGuide
2. SRSSRC:DVFAction_ClearEventAndParamData
3. SRSSRC:DVFAction_SendToDVF_BrowseServices
4. SRSSRC:DVFAction_SendToDVF_BrowseCategories
5. SRSSRC:DVFAction_SendToDVF_ListServicesAndListQuickPicks
6. SRSSRC:DVFAction_SetUserMode
7. SRSSRC:DVFAction_SendToDVF_DisplayBusyView

These are not even present in the list of active links configured for
SRS:ServiceRequestConsole Form

Any suggestions?

Regards,

Mohtashim

Verify the following:

"SRS:SRC:DVFAction_SendToDVF_ProvideInformation" Activelink exists.

"SRS:SRC:DVFProcessAction" Activelink Guide exists and should have 9 Active
links in the following order:

1. SRS:SRC:EN_SetEntitlement_CallGuide

2. SRSSRC:DVFAction_ClearEventAndParamData

3. SRSSRC:DVFAction_SendToDVF_BrowseServices

4. SRSSRC:DVFAction_SendToDVF_BrowseCategories

5. SRSSRC:DVFAction_SendToDVF_ListServicesAndListQuickPicks

Patch 003 using ARS 7.5

Hi Everybody,

We are running SRM 2.2 on ARS 7.5 along with ITSM 7.5. We get ARERR [9217]
after logging onto SRM application console. It seems like we are having
problem accessing plug in directory. Yet we've reviewed all permissions and
it seems like permissions are not really the issue. We also configured SRM
application to integrate with mid-tier and tested mid-tier URL in browser to
find out if we are able to browse to SRM form and all of that works fine.
Not much information in error log either that could help us troubleshoot
this issue. Please feel free to suggest in case anybody among you have seen
this before.

Re: Crystal Report Question

2008-10-28 Thread Mohtashim

Hi Shawn,

A rather easier way of doing this would be to use "Select Expert". Your
records probably need grouping via Day/Date. Once the records are grouped
you can use select expert to define the criteria for your report. Please
consider the following formula as an example.

[EMAIL PROTECTED] in Time (0, 00, 40) to Time (0, 20, 40) and
{Form.Date/Time} in DateTime (2008, 08, 13, 00, 06, 40) to DateTime (2008,
09, 07, 12, 32, 01)

In the above formula "@Time" is a variable that I created which basically
returns Time from "DateTime" field.
Hope this approach would help you.

Subject: Crystal Report Question

Greetings List!

Nor a Remedy question, but hopefully someone can help me anyway.

I'm trying to write a report to show all records created between Sunday 7pm
through Friday 7am between the hours of 7am and 7pm.

I've tried

Time({Form.Create Date})>Time (18, 59, 59) or
Time({Form.Create Date})7

however, this gives me records created between Friday 7pm and Sunday 7am as
well, which need to be excluded.

I tried thinking of a way to exclude Sunday AM and Friday PM, but couldn't
think how to do this.

Ideally, I'd like to also group them by Sunday PM/Monday AM, Monday
PM/TuesdayAM, etc.

Does anyone have any ideas?

HUGE THX IN ADVANCE!!!

Sizing Up Centralized Oracle Server

2008-09-04 Thread Mohtashim
Hi,

I wonder if experienced consultant could help me with this. I'm interested
in knowing if the following applications data can reside on a centralised
Oracle Database.

 BMC CMDB

 BMC TMART

 BMC ARS

 BMC Portal

 BMC Foundation Discovery/BMC Topology Discovery

 BMC Capacity management.

If we can utilise a centralised Oracle SAN do we know how to size the
physical Oracle server?

I've got theoretical answers to this question, I would therefore appreciate
any practical solution regarding sizing up of Oracle database catering data
from above mentioned application.

Error during BMC Analytics for BSM installation

2008-07-09 Thread Mohtashim
Hi,

I was wondering if anyone could help me regarding this. I've got MS SQL
database server for ARSystem database. I log on to the MS SQL management
studio using windows authentication. I was now looking forward to install
BMC Analytics for BSM. During installation, for some reason, my ARServer
database server information doesn't get authenticated and I keep on getting
this error "Database connection failed ARAdmin on port 1433". I've therefore
checked the SQL Server Configuration manager for connections through port
1433 and found that it was enabled. I've changed password of ARAdmin to
default again using ARAdmin (Client) tool, just in case it would have been
different in the past. Now, I'll be glad if somebody can help me find SQL
server connection settings configuration file for ARSystem database so that
I can input correct information that could be neatly authenticated during
Analytics installation.

Please do get back to me for any further queries.
