Hi Sucharita, You can make a display only form and give the permissions on this form to a group. The restricted set of users can be added to this permission group and you can use this group permission to check which set of users sees which home page. Hope that helps. Hi Kiran, You need to login with your admin account (Demo for eg.) to get these options enabled. If your user account doesn't have admin permissions then these will not be enbled. Alternatively, for server side logging, you can go to admin tool and enable filter logging under Server Information ---> Logs. Lisa, This error normally occurs when the table name that is being provided is different from the actual name in the db. Check for the name, spelling of the table in the database. The table name is case sensitive also. Hence take care of that as well while providing the name of the table. Also make sure that the table is in the aradmin d/b. Hope that helps. Rgd, Nisha. Hi Dwayne, If the records are being shown in the result list and not being displayed in the form when selected, then this probably means that there is a mismatch in the number of entries in t table and h table. Check the count of recorrds in t table and it's underlying h table. Hi Gary, When archiving is enabled, the workflow doesn't get attached to the new archived form. It still remains with the primary form. Hence if there are multiple dependencies, as in, multiple other forms which have some data being displayed in the primary form, then if you archive the multiple forms also, the workflow will still have to be attached between archived forms. If you don't archive multiple forms and just archive primary for data then the workflow remains as it is. Hope that helps. Hello Bala. For the scenario that you have described below, you would need active links to perform the action and not filters. This is because active links fire on some user actions at client level like click of a button (as you want). You could use 1.) Push Field action (to push the data in form2) 2.) Regarding archiving of table fields...some help!
Hello Listers, Today I tried to enable archiving of one of the forms being used in my organisation. This form has some table fields which have some data coming from some second regular form through some workflow. When I archived only the main form containing the table field and not the second regular form, then in the archived form I could see the data in the table. However, when I archived the second regular form (in addition to the main form), I could not see the data in the table of the archived main form. The data was however available in the second archived form. As per the documentation, the workflow does not get attached to the archived forms. -->So instead of actually modifying the workflow and enabling it also for the archived forms, how can I ensure that I can overcome this issue? -->Has anyone ever come across this kind of issue? If yes, how has it been overcome? -->Have I missed something else which needs to be taken care of so that such table fields are populated with the data when archived? I got some suggestions offline but I would appreciate if there were some more of them. It'll be a great help if you could throw some light and suggest something. Thanks! Hello Listers, I have a basic query. Is it possible to change the properties of a regular form through some workflow? To elaborate further, can I use an active link/filter/escalation to modify the properties of a form? I have a form which has more than 600 fields. Now this form has many tables etc. which are taking data from some other regular forms. I want to now enable archiving for this main form. So instead of manually modifying all related forms and enable individual archiving, can I just modify the properties of forms in bulk and enable archiving through some workflow? Thanks. Mid-tier vs. User client!
Hello All, We are currently on ARS6.3/HD6.0. Some of our users use the Remedy web interface and we have some users using Remedy user tool/client as well. Problem with attachment fields on form opening as a dialog!
** Hello, I have a requirement here to add an attachment pool to HPD:Solutions form to enable a person to add any file as part of solution/knowledgebase. I have added the attachment pool and given the necessary permissions to the pool and also to the attachment fields defined therein. I have another link on the Home page which opens up this solution page in a dialog form. The problem I am facing now is that attachment pool is visible but the attachment fields defined therein is not visible and hence I cannot see the attached files. The permissions are there however. Is there something which I need to check out in case the form mode being opened in dialog? We are on HD6.0/ARS6.3 patch016. Please suggest. Thanks! Title: Message ** Hello All, I have a display only form which has a table field on it. This table A (for eg.) has the entries coming into it from some backend form. Now there's an active link guide which is pushing multiple entries into this backend form and when I add a "change field" action to refresh this display-only table field after the active link guide action, it fails to refresh on the web client even though data is already pushed by the guide. On native console, refresh is taking place properly. Can anyone suggest where I might be going wrong for the same??? Please suggest what should be done in order to refresh data in the table on web also. I am blocked due to this now!! Thanks. Help with table field qualification!!!!!!!

Now this backend table has multiple entries of a particular user/region and I want that only distinct values should be populated in the display-only table. How can this be achieved? How should the table qualification be built in this case? I tried using External with set fields in some char field as qualification but this did not get processed. Any ideas how it can be done?? DSO help for HelpDesk application
Hello Listers, I want to clear some confusion that I have regarding the concept of DSO or Distributed Server Option which is being currently used as a mechanism to transfer tickets between 1 server to another. For DSO to transfer tickets from server A to server B, is it necessary for both the servers to have DSO license or only the sending server to have DSO license. Can the receiving server receive the licenses even though it doesn't have the DSO license applied to it? Also does the DSO process 'arservdsd' needs to be running on receiving server or the server can receive tickets even though DSO process is not running on it??? So out of the following 3 situations which is correct one if server A sends tickets to server B through DSO i.e. server B is the receiving the ticket?? 1.) Server B should have DSO license applied to it and DSO process arservdsd should be running on it. 2.) Server B doesn't have DSO license on it and no DSO process is running on it. 3.) Server B doesn't have license on it and DSO process is running on it. Any help in this regard will be very useful and helpful in clearing all remaining doubts. Thanks. Web giving issues
Hello All, We have one of our servers where we had installed patch 15 for mid-tier to solve an issue. We are on ARS6.03. But due to some reasons we had to rollback to patch 14 for mid-tier. Now at the same time we were also importing the def of HP:Helpdesk form one other server to this server. Now after rollback to patch 14 and import I have noticed that web is behaving strangely. The native client of HelpDesk on citrix server works fine. The problem is that any fields where things have to be written manually are not allowing me to type anything in it. The cursor control is going to those fields but when I try to type anything , I am unable to do so. However, when I click on the expand box of these fields, I am able to type in the information required. This is happening only on web and not on native client. It's happening on fields like Summary, Description, Requester Login etc. I have tried to re-import the def again and evn on doing so this remains as it is. Is this something related to def import? Or is this related to the patch installed for mid-tier etc.? Can anyone suggest a way out of this? Thanks.
