Print Preview doesn't appear on clicking 'Print' button

2009-08-06 Thread RMUSR2009
This issue occurs for some of the users where they have "BMC Remedy user v7.1
Patch 004 " pushed through packaging.

While clicking on Print button on the Incident/ Change Request screen,
normally the Print preview appears before we print. This doesn'appear the
same for all users. It directly goes to print.

I tried to reinstall the application and did not work.
I ensured it is not a login issue but specific to some PC. I did not find
any settings for Print Preview. Is there anything I am missing here?

PS: User DSN entry does not exist in my PC and it absolutely works fine at
my PC.

Problem Management Roles - Process Question

2009-07-31 Thread RMUSR2009
I have 2 questions...

1. Can anyone explain the additional activities that can be performed with
Problem Master role in comparison with Problem User role? It is not clear
from the BMC user guide

If I understand correctly Problem Master will have the permission to change
the assignee or manager or update the status of the Problem at a given time.
Will he be able to change the status from Completed to any other status (Say
In Progress) ??

2. Why does it allow to add work info when a Problem is Cancelled and Not
while Completed?

I guess it is working as designed, but just curious about the process/
business logic behind this.

Thanks!

Thanks for your reply. This suddenly disappeared. Not sure what the root
cause was.

Dialogs/ Pop ups on Mid Tier - Remedy version 7.1

2009-07-24 Thread RMUSR2009
One the user is facing this strange issue. When he tries to search the web
for Incidents or Change Requests, he gets a dialog box with an error

"No item matches active link conditions; this operation has been defined so
that no match generates an error. (ARERR 9278)"

on clicking Ok, one more web dialog appears

"Data Types are not appropriate for relational operation (ARERR 313)"
followed by a confirm save request dialog box.

This user has only Incident viewer and Infrastructuer change Viewer
permission. This absolutely works fine on the QA environment for the same
user with same permissions.

When I login with my Id on his machine, it works fine for me without any pop
ups. This issues is there for his entire group. I tried deleting cookies,
but didnt help.

Has anybody faced this issue before? Please suggest.
