Approval Server Problem "Error 9858"

Hi All,

Recently we upgraded from 6.3 to 7.1 server with patch 3 and ITSM 7.

Approval sever in the Production is  working very fine, the only problem is
in the development instance.

When ever I'm accessing approval related information from the user tool,
I'm getting below error.

"The application is not licensed  (ARERR 9858)
ARERR [8800] The specified container owner name is incorrect :
CHG:ChangeAPDetailSignature"

Thinking of there is some thing problem with the above form , we exported
the same form from the other inoveronment and tried importing in  problem
environment that time  that time we are getting below error --

"The Application or the Form cannot be made licensable. Only deployable
applications
 can be made licensable. Also, Forms have to belong to deployable
applications to be made
licensable. (ARERR 9864)."

I'm not sure what could be the problem.  Any help is appreciated.

Sever and ITSM Version ARS 7.1 Patch 3 and ITSM 7.
OS   Window 2003.

Yeah, we installed by selecting the option Mixed mode authentication and
supplied the password for sa.

Do you have mixed mode authentication turned on?

Hi Matt,

Firstly thanks for your quick response!

I did the below changes and restarted the server, but no luck.
And along with that I did the changes in the SQL Surface configuration,
where in I opted TCP/IP and Name option, even it did not helped me out in
this.

Rajini,

I believe there've been several posts about this already, but if memory
serves...
- Open the SQL Server Configuration tool and open the 'Protocols' section
- Open the TCP/IP connection
- Ensure on the first tab that it is enabled
- On the second tab, double check each of the IP Addresses to ensure
they're
correct and that port 1433 is set for the TCP port
- Save your changes and restart the MSSQLServer service

That should do it.

Installation Guide for details about the minimum and recommended values for
memory when installing BMC Remedy Mid Tier or CMDB and ITSM applications on
the same computer as the AR System server.




Can any one let me know what need to be done to avoid this error!!
