Re: Regarding web service

2009-02-09 Thread Shweta Dhaneshwar

Hi Sucharita,

If you are consuming a webservice hosted by other application, which returns
multiple values, you simply have to write a filter with set field action. You
can map multiple fields in the output mapping.

Shweta.

Can simply creating a web service do it?

Or any different way of creating a web service is required for multiple values

it depends on what your application supports. If your application can consume a
webservice, you could publish a webservice in remedy and consume the webservice
from your application. You could send as many values as you want to remedy and
remedy could return multiple values in the response back to your application.
If you are trying to send mulitple values from remedy to your application, yes
you could consume multiple values to your application.

I have been trying a lot with the qualification field in the web service

This particular qualification results in showing the first matching
request rather than the recent request...

Could some one please help me on this?

One more question:

How could we use this qualification in the webservie for any operation?
Could you explain with some example?

I had did the same thing as above for the form called Remedy Support and

I also did this changes in the various views of HPD:Helpdesk form e.g

only see the changes on the Remedy Support form but not on the

What could be the problem? Any idea?

Use the keyword HOMEURL.

From the online help:

$HOMEURL$The base location of mid tier installation. This keyword will only be expanded on the web client and will return NULL in the user tool.

The $HOMEURL$ keyword enables you to use the relative path to the application resources when creating workflow. For example, in the Set Fields action, you can enter the following text for the Set Value for the View Field:

$HOMEURL$/Resources/test.html

The URL is resolved at the runtime and loads a different file without changing the Set Fields action
You have to call the Logout Servlet or the user will never be presented with the login prompt.

To redirect them to the login page you would use something like the following URL:

 $HOMEURL$/arsys/servlet/LogoutServlet?goto=$HOMEURL$/arsys/forms/devsrv-arsapp01/Remedy+Support

Of course only do this if they are logged in thru the web to begin with: ($CLIENT-TYPE$ = 9)

For implementing this requirement, we can use run process :PERFORM-ACTION-OPEN-URL [current or new]URL_string
