Web Service Server Configuration
TGIF Listers, We have created an integration with a customer using the customers WSDL to send data. All is working well with the exception of the time it takes for attachments to be sent out of Remedy. Currently sending a small 32k attachment takes 6 minutes for the attachment to leave Remedy. Web Services - Using a HTTPS url
Hi, I have created a web service on our Dev box in Remedy to consume data from clients using a http url in the WSDL. Our security team informed me I will need to use a https secure url in the WSDL when I move this web service to QA and Prod. I re-created the web service in our QA environment using the https url. But when ARS built the WSDL it modified the https to http. Does anyone know how to build a WSDL in ARS that will use HTTPS? All documentation found on this subject has been very vague. Hi Terri, We use Kinetic. It allows us to build screens to have the look and feel of our webpages and to make it easy for the customer to use. We can also build intelligence into the screen to be more interactive to direct the customer to the proper place while gathering the data we need to help them. Kinetic is a pretty awesome product. Re: CMDB Question
Rami, The benefits of an Class/Subclass data model include enforcement of common attributes among similar types of CIs and the ability to search within not just a given class of CIs, but within any branch of the hierarchy. From a base class from which all others are derived, you can search for all CIs or all relationships. So an example of this would be a Switch and its components. A Switch is made up of a 1 Chassis, multiple Controllers (Soup Engs), Multiple Power Supplies, and Multiple Cards. Building Parent/Child relationships allows you to track the individual components like a card or power supply by serial number/asset tag. If a card needs to be replaced you remove the relationship and add the new card and build the relationship. The old card can be sent in for repair and tracked. When repaired, this card can be used in any switch that needs it. I hope this answers your question.
