Re: Deleted a class by accident

2010-01-20 Thread vinitPatil
Hi,

What you can do is you can export BMC_System along with its subclasses and
then import it back to the Dev env.

Following are the steps using cmdbdriver:

EXPORT
Export Item List:
Number of export items (0): 1
  Class Name
 Namespace (): BMC.CORE
 Class name (): BMC_System
 Metadata, Instance data (1-2) (1): 1
Export options -- class only, super classes, subclasses (1, 2, 4)
(1): 4
Directory for exported data: /opt/remedy/BMC_System

This will export BMC_System and all its subclasess

Hi Atif,

You can use Remedy Developer Plus too.
The initial setup will took sometime but after that you can easily find out
Active Links, Filters, Fields etc. associated with a form.

Re: Installing Crystal Reports Server on MidTier

2009-05-18 Thread vinitPatil
Hi,

You can install the Crystal Reports Server XI without installing Tomcat
bundled with it. After installation you can install all the neccessary .war
files which are located at "\11.5\java\applications" in
your current Tomcat's webapps folder. You can easily download CRXI
Administration Guide from the web. You will find all the details for how to
deploy the CRXI CMS Console and Infoview Console in existing tomcat setup.
But while doing this u'll face another problem. Because doing this needs
some changes in Tomcat Configuration which will not be supported by
Mid-Tier. So to overcome this problem you need to place all the mid-tier
libraries into Business objects library folder which is \11.5\win32_X86>. This will allow you to run both CRXI and Mid-Tier
in the same Tomcat instance.

Vinit

Hi Anuj,

I think there may be a problem in Mid-Tier Administration Password.
Please make sure that Mid-Tier Administration password is same at both

AIE Issues

2009-03-03 Thread vinitPatil
Hello Friends,

We have an ARS Server installed on Solaris and we want to fetch third party
data using AIE.
I've already installed AIE on the same machine (Solaris) but there is no SQL
Adapter for this platform.
I want to know,
for SQL Adapter do I need to install the AIE from the machine (ex. HRSQL)
choosing the same AR Server?
And how it will affect the previous installation and the instances?

Login ID issues

2009-02-07 Thread vinitPatil
Hello Listers,

We've imported the people records from AD to People form and we are using
Cross Reference Blank Password for external authentication. Now here we are
facing a problem of case-sensitivity.
CTM:People form stores login ids as e.g. "Remedy". When we use the exact id
to log in then it works fine. But when we use it as "remedy" then it denies
the access. All the end users follow the same practice and they are unable
to create request.
Does anyone know how to solve this problem?

Re: Regarding web service

Hi Suchitra,

I am afraid but this cannot be done in remedy because currently in remedy
there is no container like Arrays in Java or any other language which allows
you storing multiple values.
If number of values are fixed then you can create that much of fields and
respective mappings.

Please share if anyone has already came across this type of error.

Re: Updating user profile in People form...RESOLVED

2009-01-20 Thread vinitPatil
Hello All,

Thanks for your continuous support..

The issue has been solved. Here are the details..

First I deleted all the People records from CTM:People because the value for
Submitter field for all the records was "AR_ESCALATOR". Then again I
re-imported records from AD but this time I set the "Submitter" field as
Login ID of the user. Also I set the change permissions of Organization,
Department and Site field as Submitter. So here user automatically became
submitter for the record. Now he can change Organization, Department and
Site.

Thanks & Regards,
Vinit

Hi Candace,

Thank you for ur reply..

I agree with your point that the true data for site needs to be first
entered into the form SIT:Site.
On the People form a menu is connected to Site field which just fetch all
the Sites from the SIT:Site form. But People form it self stores Site value
with corresponding user record. Site field is required as long as the user
is Office-Based Employee. There are number of fields on People form related
to Site such as Site Country, Site City, Site Street, Site ID, Site State
Province, Site Zip/Postal Code, Timezone etc. These fields are used to
display the Site Address field which is Display-Only.
Let me check with changing Submitter. I hope this will give me a hint.

Thanks & Regards,
Vinit
