Cool Remedy Tools/Toys

2006-09-29 Thread Covert, Jack
**

Hi
guys...

I just got the
magical email from the boss.  The one I look forward to every year.
It's budget time!  For the most part this will be hell but it also gives me
the opportunity to buy some cool Remedy tools.

I know of many but I
thought I'd send out an email in case there are things that have popped up
recently that I may have missed.  So - any nominations?  I'm looking
for those cool little toys that make Remedy dev/mgmt easier.

The "coolest" thing I have seen recently is Abydos. This will intricately
map out workflow to a plotter/file for review and documentation. It will
also let you build a flowchart in their app for your process, that it will
convert to coded workflow.

I went to the web site, clicked on contact us
and have asked for current cost etc. When/if I get an
answer I will post it. Seemed more direct than asking the list.

[Granted there are certain weird companies like
BMC Remedy where getting the current list prices of their products
always seems to be like meeting someone in a park and exchanging
brown manila envelopes].

Rick,

Sorry... Like my fist post indicated... I never used this product. I
have also never priced it either.

The companies I have worked for would rather see me work magic with a
def file than to buy a tool that would let me not have to worry about
such details.

From what I have seen of this tool it looks promising. ( And a few

others on this list do as well.)

I just keep hoping that some day... BMC will build us an Admin tool
that allows us to take advantage of all/most of these design pattern
approaches. But the cost will likely keep climbing unless they can
open source the Admin Tool to the Community and let us help them to
help us.

Re: Cool Remedy Tools/Toys

2006-10-01 Thread remedy
If nobody has mentioned it yet, ARUtilities may come in handy from time to
time.
Within the next couple months ARUtilities 7.0 will be release supporting ARS 7

ARUtilities is priced well under the $1000 mark. Licensing is per user. A user
may install on as many machines as needed, and connect to as many servers as
needed.

Hope this helps.

Re: Cool Remedy Tools/Toys, price of core*ar Evolutiion

2006-10-01 Thread [EMAIL PROTECTED]
The second part of the obvious,
is you hit the contact us button and ask,
which i did and posted the answer.

[ 9 hours ago, so if anyone doesn't want to look back:
core*ar Evolution is priced at 5450US per license (one license == one client
machine, no limitations on how many AR Servers it connects to).
The newest version is compatible with AR System 5.1.2, 6.0, 6.3 and 7.x.]
