Flashboards Question
Hi Group, I have a flashboards related question. It may be basic and maybe I am overthinking it! I have a requirement where I need to present a bar chart where x axis corresponds to the sum of three variable (let's say Total SLA's met, breached and at risk, these are diiffent fields in the custom form). and the y axis documents the severities. Now in a flashboard variable one can only group by two variables and hence the first one would be the severity. But I need to figure out a way so that the graph represents all the SLA's mentioned above in a straight bar each represented by a different color for the specific severity. I tried creating a separate variable for each SLA and adding all of them to the flashboard. But the resulting graph does not seem intuitive and is definitely what I am looking for. It has got me to thinking if this can be achieved in the dashboard. Does anyone have any ideas as to how I may approach the above problem? Thanks SV ___ UNSUBSCRIBE or access ARSlist Archives at www.arslist.org attend wwrug11 www.wwrug.com ARSList: "Where the Answers Are"

Re: Flashboards question
Shafqat, The error number range seems like its a system error, but have you checked if there is workflow that may be throwing that error? Workflow such as an Active Link or (less likely) a Filter? Browse the ACTLINK_MESSAGE database table for text contained in that error message, and if you do find it, look for the Active Link condition that may be causing that error.. It is not likely to be a filter unless you are getting that error on a submit or query operation.. So if thats the case and you do not find an AL that throws that error, look for this message in the FILTER_MESSAGE table for a filter that may be causing it.. Flashboards Question
Good morning listers! First off, thank you to those who responded to my question a couple of weeks ago regarding CTI management. Your input was very helpful. Secondly, I have a Flashboards question which probably has an easy answer which I am overlooking. The environment here is: ARS 7.0.1, Patch 001 Flashboards 7.0.1 ITSM 6 OS: Windows 2003 DB: MSSQL 2000 On the Remedy Support form in the ITSM suite there are several flashboards located on the lower right-hand side. Of particular interest here is the flashboard displaying cases by category. Management here is asking if that flashboard can display cases by Item (easily done by modifying the OOB flashboard variable by changing the Group By from "Category" to "Item"). The issue is that by doing so, with all the Items that we have defined, there would be many bars in the bar graph for each Item, making the flashboard useless. Is there any way that this could be limited to the top 10 Items in use rather than all Items in use? I can do a SQL query which will provide that answer but translating that to a custom flashboard is proving to be difficult, and the powers-that-be here are looking for the graphical representation. I'm curious if I am missing something obvious. Appreciate the help. ** Yup. I was diligent in setting passwords on install, as you probably were, and yet this still has to be set afterward. Would be nice if it were part of the install script.
