You will also use them if you need to modify the weights and other config 
settings for RKM.

We use it to rebuild individual indexes if we feel FTS has failed to accurately 
maintain a data set. This is quicker than rebuilding every FTS index from the 
admin console.

Manage Knowledge Sources - Rebuild Index

In the Knowledge Management Console under Manage Knowledge Sources, trying to 
get a grasp of the purpose/benefit of performing ad-hoc re indexes.  Have tried 
reading through the BMC Knowledge Manegement Admin Guide and it seems to cloud 
the waters for me.  Anyone offer any insight into this functionality?
