Re: Net IQ and AR System version 7.0

2007-04-22 Thread Roney Samuel Varghese

Dear Joe,
Hope you doing good. I believe that the Net IQ App Manager is
similar to the Remedy netcool gateway which uses Alert notification engine
for sending events. Remedy users are notified of new AppManager events
through the Remedy Notifier tool, so you should not have any kind of trouble
with version 7.x.

Regards,
Roney Samuel Varghese

Net IQ seems to have a AppManager that can be used as a connector between
the AR System and Remedy, but from what I just saw on their product
description, it supports AR System version 4.

I haven't found anything for the more recent versions.. I'm on ARS 7.0.1
Patch 001, on Windows 2k3 and using MS-SQL 2K5 SP2.

Is anyone using their connectors on this version?

Thanks for any info..

Cheers

Joe

2007-04-22 Thread Robert Molenda
We have the New-IQ Connector installed on Version 6.3 and it works OK.
Since the table they create only has normal fields it should be
forward compatible.

Have not tried it on 7 yet...

The connector installs on the Net-IQ Server, and will probably install
the 4x lib's but it works OK so far for me :)
