I have noticed it usually when there is a hover tooltip. It seems if you
trigger another tooltip it will go away.

You have a very similar environment to us – only difference is we’re on sp3 
with hotfix - 7.6.04 SP3 201207061314 for ARS and midtier.
For us it has not got to the point of pain to open an issue with BMC. Can you 
imagine trying to diagnose this and capture what they need to “reproduce” the 
issue.
I’m not in the mood for another root canal right now.
