Re: Active Link Guide Issue

2007-02-21 Thread Christopher Michaud
Frank,

Usually, when I have run into this, it's been due to my referencing table
column directly. For some reason directly referencing columns seems to be
hit or miss as in some cases I can reference directly and in other cases
my looping fails. Try setting Display Only fields with those values and
reference the Display Only instead.

Subject
Active Link Guide Issue

AIX, Oracle, ARS 6.03, User Tool 6.0

Scenario:

Button on a form which runs an active link.
The active link calls a Guide and loops records in a table.
There is an active link in that Guide which calls another guide and loops
record in another table.
All of the tables are on the same form.

The problem I am having is the first guide only walks the first record in
the table (there are two). It never moves forward. The second table loop
does move forward. I've triple checked the and everything looks OK. I am
not
sure if I have ever tried this before so am wondering if it would work.

Thank you.

Yup .. that was it .. I switched to DO fields and stopped referencing the
columns.

Thanks to all who responded.

Re: Active Link Guide Issue

2007-02-20 Thread Jan Itor
I know you can't nest Server Side Tables, but I thought you could do it with
Links.
You could manually loop your first series with a goto...that should work.
Are you sure you haven't got some kind of exit in the 2nd loop?
