Re: Change Template Dataload 8.1 issue?
Yes agreed, much of the documentation leaves me breathless for lack of instructions - LOL. Given what you are up against, here is what I would attempt to do at this point. Take all your support group data and put it in a staging form along with some identifier that can match against your primary spreadsheet data. Set up a filter that will fire on Merge that will try to set those fields as you run the import from the datasheet again where some 'identifier' matches some unique data in your spreadsheet. I have also found in the past that UDM does not process some specific cells if they are not formatted correctly, but if that was the case I'd expect that you would see some errors to that effect. Also take a look at what if anything your previous modifications may have done to pre-existing filters just in case something got stepped on. Re: Change Template Dataload 8.1 issue?
Candace, Thanks for the reply. All of my support groups, etc have been loaded - including the functional roles for the said Change Management Support Groups. Here is the wiki link I attempted to follow to set this up. https://docs.bmc.com/docs/display/public/itsm81/Adding+custom+fields+to+target+forms As you can tell, once again, the instructions are (needless to say) lackluster at best. Rob - I won't swear to this, but if you look at the menus on the Change Template you see they pull from a form CTM:SupportGroupFuncRoleLookup - this likely means that you should have your support groups already in place in support group forms and look for something like a hook to the Support Group ID (or GUID for it) on the import forms instead. I have not worked much with the Data load spreadsheets though so take this with a grain of salt and hope you get better answers if mine is wrong.
