Re: Running ARS in Read-Only mode?
You could create a new user, grant select access to all the remedy owned objects (tables and views), create synonyms for those objects for the new user, then connect Remedy to the db using the new user. This would ensure that Remedy will not update any data. I've never tested this, but it should work. There are some things that Remedy updates behind the scenes like AR System User Preferences; not sure what the impact to the system is in these cases. Make all the licenses - read-only, disable escalations and write a filter for submit/modify/merge that produces a no you don't error message. -John Sent from my iPhone On Sep 28, 2011, at 5:54 PM, Vaibhav Singhal vaibhavsing...@hcl.com wrote: ** Hi List, I wonder if it's possible somehow to Run ARS 6.03, ITSM 6.3 in Read-Only mode?
