Okay, this has been resolved. I knew it had to be something stupid-simple. When logging into Dev Studio, DON'T use a preference server (and of course, you do have to be logged into both servers). Warren, Thanks for replying. By "available to that tool", is it enough to be logged into the old-version server within dev studio? If so, we did that. Does something else need to be setup? You need to have a server set up and available to that tool that has the old version available. It is NOT something that is well documented (go figure). Upgrading to Version 9.0 - Old Definition source server not specified in Settings.
We are doing a dev environment upgrade from ARS 8.1 to 9.0 (Windows all around). When attempting to follow the process for code reconciliation from a snapshot, Developer Studio is giving an error (screenshot): [image: Inline image 2] Which, when you look down in the "Settings" section, the menu is blank, so the error makes sense: [image: Inline image 1] My questions are - why isn't there anything on the menu? Upgrading a version...
We have an AR dev server that was upgraded from 7.5 to 7.6.04. If we then run the 7.6.04 CMDB version will it delete any of the test data in that test database? Thanks. I have never seen it delete data (at least not in the last 10 years or so). BMC is pretty sensitive to customers losing data. Now are they perfect? No but they try within reason.
